It's quite a long drive from Javea to La Granadella but it's worth it. There is parking just before the beach and a couple of cafes. There are sunbeds for rent also. It is set in a small picturesque bay.
The beach is quite large pebbles/stones making it difficult to get in and out of the water so rubber shoes would be helpful. The seawater is crystal clear so the snorkelling is quite good. There are kayaks for hire.
We ate twice at the cafe which is nearer to the sea. The waiter was very friendly and helpful.
There were 6 adults and a 3 year old in our party and we ordered various dishes like grilled sardines, chopitos, boquerones and mixed salad. We enjoyed them all. The service was good and the prices very reasonable.
We would definitely return.

Beautiful beach - a lovely country drive twisting and turning down a mountain eventually turns into a beach made of white pebbles, clean sparkling waters surrounded by lush greenary. Perfect for snorkelling - you will see hundreds of fish but shoes reccomended due to the stones. You can sunbathe by bringing your own inflatable lilo (can buy them for as cheap as 2.50) or rent a sunbed for 7 euros! Or brave it and put a towel on the rocks it's not that bad. 2 nice restuarants provide reasonable priced good quality food and drinks. Only down side is parking can be difficult and we couldn't see the tracks for the walk upto the castle!

This is a nice place to visit. A rocky beach that can be very popular with locals. We come down to the beach and have lunch at the nearby restaurant...fresh fish!

After driving down the bendy roads down it really is worth the visit to this small beach! The water colour was clear its a shame it's not a sandy beach

Granadella is a great place to be, but not during summer time, at least for me as it has too many people in my opinion and parking is a nightmare.
The drive to get there is fantastic, a small road with a lot of nice corners. The beach also has some small and nice restaurants where you can have a drink or eat some tapas, but I would go there to get a full fledged and nice dinner menu.
Make sure you walk the surroundings a lot of nice spots to discover, it's not only about the beach itself.
