“Curry night in Javea has to be at Swagat!”
Reviewed May 29, 2011

I don't like to come to Javea and then not eat local dishes, but I make an exception for Swagat.

The top place to go for some spicy treats when you're all tapas'ed out!

“Worth a trip”
Reviewed December 19, 2010

Hi can only second the oppinions I already read. We live in Benissa now, but we still drive to Javea at least once a week, and we always go to Swagat India if it's possible.
If we had to stick out one bad thing, it's that it's usually quite cold in there in the winter.

“Always great food and service”
Reviewed September 26, 2010

We eat in here at least once a week if we can, and everytime the food is great. The service is always quick and with a smile. Great view over the Med. Usually easy to park opposite the restaurant (unless its in the summer). Would highly recommend Swagat if you fancy a curry

“Superb food”
Reviewed January 22, 2010

Excellent service, food and surroundings. One of the best "Indian" meals I have ever had - and believe me, I've had plenty! Far and away the best fo many miles. It's not the cheapest, but by no means the most expensive either. If you are on a budget, they have an excellent menu-del-dia at lunch time at around half the price of an a la carte meal.

“Genuine high quality Indian food”
Reviewed September 13, 2009

Usually I go abroad to eat local cuisine but this holiday I veried it with trying of an Argentinian resturant and the finding of this Indian restaurant which was the find amongest finds. It truely was superb.
What set the scene, was as we were seated to a table outside, the table near to us was just finishing, and the man told the waiter that their meal was fantastic and 'he should know' - and by that he stated that he frequented a different Indian restaurant every week in the UK and that his meal at Swagat was amongest the best.
So armed with these thoughts, we ordered our food consisting of two main courses with three side dished including Saag, Mateer Paneer & Bombay Aloo plus Garlic Naan etc. The food portions were massive and we found that our eyes were bigger than our stomachs.
All of the dishes were spiced to perfection, freshly cooked and presented with care.
This is most definately an Indian worth visiting and one which is most definately a restaurant rather than your 15 pints of lager curry house.
