Having been to Javea for the last 3 years, this was our first time at La Martineta, which is on the far south end of Arenal Beach. It provides a wonderful location at which to dine and watch the sunset over the Montgo Massive. We dined here twice in our 2 week stay and on both occasions the food and service was very similiar to other 'posher' restaurants along the sea front, rather than sitting inside, we sat out under their massive awnings (providing much wanted shade) which were supplimented by water vapour squirted out under high pressure from around the awning supports. This really made a vast difference until the sun was low enough for the awnings to be pulled back.
The food is particulary designed around meat and plenty of it, whether it be on a skewer or served as a type of mixed grill (tried both). The presentation was good and the meat was always cooked to exactly how we had requested it. The mixed grill consisted of Argentinian steak, sweetbreads, sausage, pork chop, chicken and more - this mixed grill option gave you access to the salad cart, but the shock came when I had finished it - there was the FREE option of having it all again for no extra cost. I could not do this and I would be amazed if anyone could eat it all again!
Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, including families with kids.
