Lovely historic windmill towers, with stunning views over the entire bay and over the port area of Javea especially.

There is a walk starting at the port and climbing to the lighthouse, then along to these windmills, which are all worth seeing... Last year we did the walk but it missed out most of these ' moulins', so do follow the white/yellow markers up to the windmills, then follow the white and RED route down the hill to take in the other windmills further along the ridge.
Enjoy!

Really spectacular views...!!! And a piece of history. Worth the drive and hike. Was really interesting to see how people had converted into rooms.

No trip to Xabia is complete without a trip to the windmills (molinos). That sit in a line along the ridge on the way to San Antonio lighthouse. Originally used for grain, they are now a tourist attraction. Some have been renovated, they are all lovely to look at. Wear comfortable shoes as the ground is stony and hilly, places to park if you don't want to hike up the steep hill overlooking Xabia.

A visit to to Javea must include the amazing Molinos / Windmills initially used for the milling of local products. They once had the huge sails that you think of from Don Quixote ... and a few of them have been restored. Well worth a visit!
