Excellent and helpful staff, rooms clean and well looked after. Food fine for a 3 star Hotel but dining room too small for the amount of people in the Hotel. Choice also seemed better at lunch rather than the evening. The evening entertainment was a let down and the bar area was also crowded at times. Having said that would recommend the Hotel on the basis that you were well looked after by staff in the Reception, Bar and dining room and nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel is also near to the train station and about 15/20 minutes walk to the centre of Denia.

Room Tip: Request a top floor room with pool view as they are quieter and have th sun in the morning

Good food and helpful staff but the hotel simply had too many guests staying. Not enough seats in the Lounge or Dinning Room. The rooms and the facilities were fine. The Spanish guests all seemed to enjoy them selves, although a little noisily.

Most of the British guests were staying with Saga deals. We booked in independently not realising this but we had a great time! The reception were staff were exceptionally helpful as were the waiters, cleaners and in-house entertainment team. The food was excellent and plentiful and the bar prices were very good value. My husband and I had a bottle of wine every evening which cost us €6! The entertainment was mediocre but there was always the lounge to sit in. Our room was fabulous, overlooking the town, castle and ferry port. First day back home, I booked a return visit for next February with Saga!

Room Tip: Choose a high floor- 6 or 7.

This Hotel is in a superb position two minutes from the beach and the superb port.. Modern facilities and the staff are very very helpfull. the top floor which is the seventh, have balconies on the sea side but only get sun in the morning. Hotel spotless, we went with SAGA for 4 weeks
expecting of course guests to be of an age about 60 plus and this was the case, no problem there. The big minus is that the hotel is on the list of the Spanish governments pension and unemployed subsidies list, and the hotel is 75% full of spanish guests. This means that the staff favour them at meal times. When the dining room opens, say, in the evening at seven oclock,, a large queue forms outside so if you would like to dine at say seven fifteen, there is no way one can get a table . the food is all buffett style and is of good average quality. The entertainment and games are all organised by the hotel team, problem is there, the team consists of three girls who are in their twenties,They do not seem to understand that the hotel guests are 98% elderly people , so 9-0am keep fit class. 9-30 darts or a simple ball game, or shove board,or archery, shooting. 5-0 each day in the lounge whether or not you are having a quiet drink or a read, there is a line dancing class. Great for those who like line dancing. After dinner at 9-0pm there is usualy a singer or comedian in the underground `garage` or dancing in the upstairs lounge with of course preference given to the Spanish guests
All in all the hotel itself is very good and modern, the staff superb and all speak very good english, If a premium quality Butlins Holday Camp type of vacation is what you seek,, and there are SAGA people who go year after year. Hotel Port Denia is the tops. We have just arrived back but God Help those who go in the summer season. .

Room Tip: Book a room at the top floor seven for superb views. numbers 710 and on are the best but bear in min...

Nice Hotel & situated close to local amenities & Marina. Good food. Friendly staff. Had bad weather the week I was there which rather spoilt my holiday. However, all things considered would go back again sometime.

Room Tip: Had no problems with room as it looked over the sea from a distance but sorry, cannot remember which...

Agree with all plus points in other reviews. Staff very friendly..hotel clean etc. BUT...many downsides. Definitely a hotel where young active people would feel out of place. Also this hotel is used by spaniards who get subsidised holidays from their government if on pension or unemployed. The waiters favour them...saving tables for them etc. They are by nature very noisy people. It can be irritating.

Food is plentiful but of the poorest quality imaginable.Bland and tasteless. Plastic cheese slices..minute eggs that dont taste of egg.

Rooms are large and well equipped but walls are paper thin. You can hear snores from adjoining rooms.

Use this "port". In a storm but if you can afford better give it a miss.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter

Just arrived back from 4 weeks in Denia, apart from the weather it was an excellent holiday. The staff were so friendly and helpful. the hotel was spotlessly clean and food was very good.It is easy to get around on public transport both train and bus although it is a 10 min walk from railway station. We req uested a room on high floor which we got views were lovely.I have only one negative point and that is why does the hotel not have English TV eg ; ITV /BBC most hotels provide this now and when you are away a month it is very much missed.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a balcony, the balcony rooms are on the sunny side but are smaller than rooms fac...
