Bookend this at the last minute, the room was clean and spacious, the staff pleasant and courteous. Only down side was the breakfast buffet that was poor. Twenty seven hole golf course does get busy so be prepared for five plus hour round in high season.

Stayed at this hotel last week for 2 nights-check in was quick and straightforward-rooms were a good size -pool lovely and cold.!. Spa was great and in general a lovely calm atmosphere at this hotel.
There are a couple of downsides to this hotel its really quite far from the beach areas and restaurants the food here was average in the restaurant but breakfast was excellent, plentiful with an egg station, the hotel would actually be a great 4 star but is too tired looking, a start for this hotel would be to upgrade the carpet throughout it would make a huge difference, and also open up the bar/snack area by the pool the resort was full the days we stayed but everyone had to go inside for food and beverages,in the end they brought the food/drinks down by the pool but you can imagine a long wait with only 2 waiting staff running up and down flights of stairs- so marriott get your act together, these poor staff were running around like headless chickens!

Room Tip: Get pool view rooms-they have lovely balconies!

We have stayed here a few times and cannot fault the Hotel, or the service received!

Yes the coffee and drinks are more expensive than in the coastal resorts close by ,but it is worth it to have your coffee bought to you ,around the pool, by a very smiling waitress!
Girls on reception are good too and most speak English.

We came to a wedding and it was all very well done and the food and service were excellent.
Rooms are spacious and lots of cupboard and wardrobe space .
Will definitely recommend for an event like a wedding !

Room Tip: Ask for one with a balcony overlooking the pool and Golf course

We stayed at the Marriott for one night. Our friends were getting married and held their reception there. The reception, food, drink and service were wonderful.
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and it's in a really peaceful spot. The room we had was very spacious with two double beds in it. I found the firm mattress to my liking but my husband wasn't keen. I imagine most would probably agree with him. The bathroom was also spacious, very clean and with all the little bottles one likes to find in these places. However, the shower was over a bath with no non-slip bottom, no non slip mat to put down on it and insufficient handrails to help a safe exit. I am ( fortunately ) able-bodied and far from ancient but I would not have attempted a shower had I not had someone available to assist me getting out. It would be far too easy to have an accident.
Our main problem was the aircon. I have a hatred of 'white noise' and thought we had turned it off before we joined the wedding party. On our return we found that we hadn't and could find no way of doing so. Thinking that the mechanism had broken and fixed to 'on' we had to leave it and I suffered a poor night's sleep as a result. Even earplugs did little to help.
In the morning...Eureka ! Pressing the square button to the right of the unit was the answer ! No indication on the unit itself though, it was a fluke that we found it. So, now you know. If you don't want aircon, that's what you do. Otherwise a charming hotel. We will return one day.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the golf course. It's a beautiful view.

I was at Denia marriott some days a go and my friends and me were very surprised about this nice hotel in a peaceful area and with a big golf course. We did not paid too much for a week in a nice room, very rich breakfast and good restaurants. Off course not everything can be perfect and there are some things to be renew.
People in general are very kind And please to serve. Specially when something is wrong, we have to wait for a table at breakfast time one day, but waiters did their best to help us, and actually they solved it.
I will come back for sure in the future. Marco.

We have just returned from a week's golfing holiday at the Marriot La Sella Bla, Bla, Bla. The hotel itself is very grand and the rooms are spacious and well-furnished, apart from the rave from the grave TV! It's a shame very little else lives up to the Marriot name or the five stars they profess to have.
We travelled as a group and had half board. Breakfast was good, but the evening meal was dreadful every evening apart from the meal we ate in the Thai restaurant, and on our final evening when the chef managed to dream up something other than instant wip for dessert. Fruit and ice cream - wow, what a treat! We travelled as a group of 18 from our golf club and we were literally forced to eat at the same time, at a large table in a room with another large group of golfers. Dinner was more like a shouting match than a pleasant period spent with friends discussing the day's events. You wouldn't find such poor food or such a high level of noise in the worst school dining room. We had the choice of two starters, which were OK most days providing you kept away from the soup, and two main courses. The first three days the choice of main courses was: white fish or a leg of some kind of small bird, white fish or the other leg of another kind of small bird, and white fish or ... you get the idea. When I tried to point out that they were giving us the same choices every day I was told it was a different kind of white fish.
The staff had very poor knowledge of English, even the well-suited staff in reception, and the waiters couldn't describe the meals being served, apart from "Is nice". They didn't even know which soup was being served as soup of the day. I don't recommend cream of courgette - it tasted as you would expect, of nothing. Next day was cream of potato, need I say more?
The golf course was OK, but again the staff in charge of the golf trollies could speak no English. The trollies were tatty and worn, and on two occasions they ran out, so we were given electric trolllies without the battery. There was no water in many of the ball cleaners on the course, and the practise bunker has ruined my sandwedge.
I'm also getting fed up with paying for "a good hotel" and then having to pay extra for the facilities. It was too cold to swim in the outdoor pool and the spa cost an extra €25!
Oh, and the bed was hard as rock. I asked for an extra blanket and was give an extra duvet, which I slept ON, in an attempt to get a decent night's sleep.
I totally agree with Graham S. They all need a swift kick somewhere, and a good talking to, starting at the top. With youth unemployment as high as it is in Spain, it should be possible to recruit enterprising young people with a working knowldge of some language other than Spanish and the insentive to please the customer!
James, are we describing the same hotel?????

We stayed at the Marriott for business. The location was a bit disappointing. The hotel is out in the sticks. Not near anything. We were so happy that we had rented a van for the group so that we could drive into town to go sightseeing or for meals.

The rooms were big and pleasant. It's one of the worst mattresses that I've ever slept on in a Marriott. The Internet was horrible, and it made it difficult to get any amount of work done.

The restaurant and included breakfast were pretty good. And the catering by the hotel was very good.
