An oasis of good food and excellent service at the end of a winding road through the orange groves between Oliva and the sea. Well worth a visit, every meal I have had here has been superb.

We are a retired couple living in Spain. Our daughter and family are here on holiday and she selected this restaurant on the basis of it's reviews on TripAdvisor, and for the fact that there is a swimming pool which the children could use. We visited on a Saturday evening and this is being written the following morning while the experience is still fresh in my mind.

Our first disappointment was that having booked a table for a specific time they were not ready for us and we had to wait over half an hour while they cleaned and set up tables. Once ready we were offered one of two set menus, we opted for the tapas menu. After the cheese, paté, tomato salad and prawns, which were all good, came a series of hot dishes which were disappointing.

There was a preponderance of seafood and very little meat. The mussels were overcooked. The 'calamares' were in fact 'poton' which is a much larger squid, not as tasty and very rubbery. We also had razor clams which I enjoyed but for most palates an acquired taste. We had some tasty little filo parcels of morcilla and chistorra which were good but tiny and only a few. The last tapa was albondigas which were good simply because they were meat. The whole lot was accompanied by a plate of soggy chips, worse than English chip shop chips which have stood on the counter for half an hour! Whatever happened to patatas bravas! Dessert and coffee were OK.

I and my wife have been to this restaurant before for a private event and were well impressed on that occasion. This time was very different. Definitely will not bother again.

When reading this review please bear in mind that we have lived in Spain for over 8 years and for years before that we took holidays in Spain. So we know and love Spanish food. We are not the average foreign tourist who turns up their nose at anything different. We are willing and happy to try new things.

Tranquil small family restaurant located among orange groves. Beautiful terrace and bar beside the swimming pool, where you can enjoy a pre-lunch dip. The food is excellent, the owner/chef is proud of his cuisine and takes a personal interest in every customer. The menu is more European than Spanish. Prices are reasonable (3 fixed price menus available) and the service is unobtrusive but attentive. Well worth a visit.
