An excellent rental property in a quiet (in October) situation. Everything you need for a home from home. The TV provided more channels than we have at home and the WiFi service is excellent. The beach is superb, the golf club house provided good food and drink but the course is expensive for individual rounds. The weather was great.
Through Trip Advisor we found this beautiful villa to rent on the Oliva Nova Golf resort. Making the booking was easy as all the information was clearly presented. Using Trip Advisor we made the initial contact with the owner. Through the Trip Advisor site we transferred the deposit and received confirmation of payment. At the time the final payment was due we were reminded. At this point we were given the e-mail of the owner to make the final arrangements and get the actual address. Everything was easy and worked. Just before we left for our holiday we were given the name and contact details of the lady acting as agent for the owner. She met us at the gate of the villa, gave us the keys and guided us around the beautiful little villa. The only problem was the batteries for the TV remote needed replacing. Ana-Maria went and fetched a pack of batteries and showed us how everything worked. So the administration was excellent.
The villa is beautiful with a fully enclosed garden and swimming pool, although too cold to use the pool. A fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, huge television, a utility room and two bathrooms. On cold days the central heating kept the place cosy.
We travelled here with our small dog, who has had a wonderful holiday. Lots of interesting walks around the villa for her or, about half a kilometre away is the most fantastic golden sandy beach stretching to the horizon in both direction. About a hundred metres down the road is a supermarket. It was a bit expensive but ideal for things forgotten or that run out, such as bread.
Heading North from the Villa a short drive away is Oliva. A beautiful town straddling the national road. One side is 20th century and fascinating. The other side is much, much older and is a fascinating place to explore.
Heading south there are a wide range of towns, El Verger, Pago, Denia, Javea, Calpe and many, many more. We are now coming to the end of an extended two month holiday and there so still so much to see. Admittedly, the villa itself is so comfortable that we seem to have spent an awful lot of time just lazing around here. We have had a memorable holiday.
