“What a great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014

We are from upstate NY and were on vacation in Sedona AZ and we went to Camp Verde to visit my mother. Looking for somewhere to take here to lunch and we remembered seeing a small sign on the expressway for a restaurant called The Horn. So googled it and found it and what a great place! Definitely not chain restaurant food! Cute place, great atmosphere and very good food! Good for the meat lovers and the vegetarian! If your in that area, a must stop! Only 20 min from Sedona. And when your done head down the road for a unique shopping experience- can't remember the name but ask one of the employees!

“Great Restaurant near Montezuma Castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014

We stopped at Montezuma Castle on our way from Sedona to Phoenix and figured there would be lots of restaurants but there were not, we stumbled upon the Horn and it ended being one of the best meals we had for lunch. Great food and service...highly recommend.

“Beautiful Food in a Beautiful Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014

We are surprised that a few of the reviewers weren't too happy with the food or service. We thought both were excellent! The decor is very southwestern and comfortable. A small bar is provided for those who want to enjoy the craft beers and wines and perhaps chat with the friendly owners, but nice, comfortable tables and seating offer perfect settings for the delicious food. The Grilled Chicken Panini, with lemon apricot cheese and onions was unique and very good. But the Lahmacun was the highlight. It consisted of Mediterranean spiced lamb, feta cheese, lettuce (which I declined), cabbage, tatziki, in lavosh bread. What a fresh, different, and special treat! Certainly worthy of a return visit.

“The Horn Saloon”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

Read a great review about this place in AZ Highways magazine, so we thought we would Splurge on a fancy dinner after 10 days of camping in the Grand Canyon.....
Well, it has a nice atmosphere, but the food was NOT that great. Our shared calamari appetizer was very small & rather tasteless. My husband's Trout entree as well as my Salmon entree were overwhelmed with the sauces used & the fish itself was over cooked & dry. Additionally, my plate was Half Full of grilled cauliflower (way too much),& the vegetable "tart" looked like it had sat around for awhile & was overcooked/reheated!
Also, My husband noticed some sort of crystally sediment in the bottom of his wine glass, which disturbed him. The waitress or hostess explained that this was natural in kegged wine, but we have never experienced this before....
All in all, I think a lot more emphasis should be placed on flavor combinations as well as prep work for this restaurant to succeed, especially at the prices charged!
