“Safari Ride Best Part of the Park”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Our family really enjoyed the safari ride, seeing giraffes and zebras close enough to touch was really an unforgettable experience. Tiger Splash show was entertaining but couldn't help but wonder what would happen if tiger ever went for the live human prey instead of toy prey. We watched part of the Predator Feed at end of day but I personally didn't find large hunks of raw meat being tossed over fences to hungry lions and tigers very entertaining. Not sure why that would be considered an event for visitors to view. Please also note that the Park has very little shade. It was still hot in the sun in early October.

“Great Big Animal Viewing Experience!”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

Over the years I have been to several zoos and "wildlife parks" that have been greatly disappointing. Generally you pay a lot and get very little as far as viewing or enjoying the animals. Out of Africa is different. The initial entry fee seems a bit steep, but once you realize this is a completely privately owned and operated park and see all the incredible animals, you understand the price and even may feel like it's a steal. The park features many large cats, lions, both male and female, tigers (including a white tiger that is absolutely beautiful) and a black leopard. There are also 3 gray wolves that were beautiful, at least 2 hyenas, a grizzly, a black bear, several snakes (even some not in cages as we "discovered" about a 30inch rattler while walking around the park), exotic birds, a white rhino, caiman, a porcupine, giraffes, zebras, antelope, water buffalo and many other animals and reptiles. I highly recommend this park to anyone with children and definitely recommend observing the feeding times for the big cats.

“Even Better Second Time Around”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

My husband and I visited Out of Africa about seven years ago and loved it. On our recent visit to Sedona we decided to revisit the wildlife park. We enjoyed it even more this time. If you have kids or are a kid at heart and love animals, this is the place for you. How neat is it to have a giraffe eat out of your hand as he sticks his head into your open air bus! And how about a big old messy giraffe kiss? And now they added a zipline! We took advantage of the zip line and flew above the animals. What a thrill! All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time. Would highly recommend a visit whenever you're in the area.

“Great Way to Spend a Day”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

We did the park VIP level admission, and it may be the best way to do it. Very informative and close up to the animals with a well-trained guide. It was a ton of fun feeding the giraffe. And you probably get more out of it as a VIP than just doing the normal stuff that comes with a paid admission. They tell you a lot about what you get to see. You also get to watch them feed the big cats meat… We got a chance to get out and get as close to animals as the fences would allow. It was so much fun and it went by so quickly. While it may seem like a lot of money (149 per person)… I thought it was worth it. We only got a chance to go the park once on our vacation and it was the best way to enjoy it. Once the VIP experience was complete – we were allowed to do whatever we wanted in the park. They dropped us off at the Tiger Splash and that was a lot of fun too. Watching the tigers chase and destroy plastic pool toys and the like while jumping into a pool was a lot of fun. We had reserved seats too because we were VIP’s! All in all we spent the whole day at the park and had a great time. If we return to the area we will go again. We don’t have kids but this is a kid friendly place so bring them. We found the owners – who host so much of the shows and experience to be very informative and helpful. Their point of view about animals is so kind and sincere. They rescue so many of the animals in the park – and that includes reptiles too. What a great way to spend the day…. Recommended.

“Animal Heaven!”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Awesome park! Picture feeding giraffes & camels up close, tigers(through a fence), carrying a large python, watching predators tearing apart their dinner, & flying over all of THAT on a zipline! What an experience! Excellent shows, some with audience participation), a great staff that is very knowledgeable, and a good variety of wildlife: lions, bears, hyenas, zebras, & many others. 2 complaints: The park could use more signage around the property. (I'm not very good at following maps.) Also, the food is nothing special, cafeteria quality at best. Aside from those 2 areas, it's an excellent adventure for anyone who loves seeing wildlife in a setting where they're not cooped up in cages or small enclosures. I will be back!
