“A good place to bring your family”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Out of Africa will delight your family as you Safari through and see animals in a natural environment. I love that the majority animals are not caged. The only reason I didn't give it more stars is that it started to rain/pour about an hour in and Arizona rains can quickly flood an area. This time it did! We not only got drenched but were caught without cover well into the park. When we got our selves down we asked for a rain check because we had not seen much at all (less than an hour) and were now wet and chilled and the park was close to closing. The woman told us no rain checks!! So we paid for actually seeing less than 1/3 of the park and left very disappointed.

“Wonderful way to spend a day!”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

We were staying in Sedona, so decided to go to the Out of Africa Wildlife Park. It was wonderful. They take outstanding care of the animals, and do not train them. The shows, such as Tiger Splash incorporate the tiger's normal habits and is fun to watch and the tigers enjoy it as well. My grandson was with us, and he's still talking about feeding the tiger! He also enjoyed petting the python and touring the property on the bus. This is not expensive, and was a very enjoyable day.

“Great fun for all ages”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

I love Out of Africa, I've been going since the facility was located in the Valley. Now that it is in Camp Verde, it's a lot easier for me to visit from Flagstaff. It is only an hour at the most from Flagstaff's downtown area.

As a kid it was a great experience to get to see all the amazing animals up close. But this is no ordinary Zoo, with shows like Tiger Splash, where the audience gets a chance to watch tigers play with toys and in the water. They also give you chances to feed the animals yourself; or, if that sounds to scary, you can walk with the employees as they feed them.

The zoo facility itself is really cool, because it's not to developed so the animals get to experience the natural Arizona terrain. And there is plenty of room, so it doesn't feel crowded either. There is food available, it is a little pricey... but everything is going to the operation of the ?wildlife park: food costs, medicine, employee wages, and other expenses. As everyone should know some animals in this world are on the brink of extinction, so well meaning zoo's like this, give us a glimpse into animal life at the same time bringing us closer to these creatures so we can see that they are worth protecting and saving. So if you are in the Camp Verde or Northern Arizona area I would recommend a visit to Out Of Africa.

This place is definitely worth the time and cost to enter! We did the Unimog experience and it was well worth it! :D I actually fed a giraffe a carrot from my mouth!!! What a wonderful experience this place is and the animals actually come out to see you! They seem to love having visitors! The animals were well cared for and the Tiger Splash was awesome!!
