A very nice, untouched Anasazi home high in a cliff face you can't reach. Look at it from a pleasant, short loop trail in the valley below. Montezuma never got this far north.

It's just amazing to see the ruins and imagine how they built it, if you stop there for just a half an hour length you can see it all.

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

Anytime I am on I17 it is a must to drop into Camp Verde and see an amazing piece of history. Montezuma's Castle makes me ponder the incredible life the primitive people must have had there in such a beautiful setting right on the river. The walk through is amazing and something that I always enjoy very much. The visitor center is very nice and full of amazing information.

“Amazing”

Loved visiting this as it gives you a peek into the history of the Verde Valley. Amazing that they were able to build this in the walls of the cliff and walk up and down the cliff every day to access their home.
