This was a very interesting and calming place to visit. You can picture the 1000 AD residents working around the river and cliffs. Enjoy a short visit and just sit on the bench to imagine.

I should start by saying I have seen many cliff dwellings, so these were, to me, just more cliff dwellings. If you haven't seen any before and you are heading up this way, by all means make the stop and see them. But I wouldn't drive out of my way otherwise and I can't imagine someone spending an entire afternoon or day here. You can see all there is to see in about an hour. Young children would probably be unimpressed. Nice gift shop and friendly rangers. Bought an awesome hat at the gift shop for the short walk.

About thirty minutes from Flagstaff we found Montezuma's Castle. After reading about it on Trip Advisor and checking it out on Google Earth, it was a must see. We were lucky enough to visit when there was a true Indian story teller there. He was very interesting to talk to even though he wasn't from around the area. You leave this peaceful sitting with a big smile on your face. A must see.

I have been here like 5 times now, and never can pass it without making a quick stop. The place is awesome, and you can have a nice walk in the small but beautiful park, must see.
