This is an older Holiday Inn with the old Holidome atrium. It looks like it has been updates, and was very well kept and clean. Staff was friendly, and the restaurant was good. My first thought when I saw the indoor pool area with games and a putt-putt course was that it would be a good place to bring kids. When I turned on the TV, however, the first thing I heard was "would you like to add a little spice to your stay? Then go ahead and spice it up." I know it is supposed to be normal these days to mix a pornography distribution effort with family vacationing spots, but I just can't get used to it.

This is one of the older Holiday Inns built in the old days when they spread these things out for half a mile. The hotel is well-kept and clean. No problems of any sort. Very quiet and great bed and shower.
The only odd thing is the interior rooms on the inside of the hallway have a window that faces the center interior courtyard. I really missed the outside view, but that was minor.

Great staff and kind and courteous people.

It wasn't as bad as I expected: they have free wireless and the beds had synthetic duvets and four synthetic pillows. I didn't sleep wonderfully, but it was adequate. Fridge and microwave in the room. Analog thermostat. Free bottled water at check-in.

This is an old Holiday Inn with a Holidome: the inner courtyard of the hotel is covered and has a swimming pool, spa (with broken jets), mini-golf, and a ping-pong table. Great for amusing kids for ten minutes, but it leaves the rooms that face that courtyard with no natural light. I had one of those rooms, and I wasn't happy. The fitness center had two working treadmills and a broken elliptical. No bikes, no strength machines, and no weights.

I thought about eating in the restaurant, but thought better of it within a few seconds of walking in.

The hotel loses points for the unidentified filth on the carpet and for the unenthusiastic staff. All-in-all, not terrible, but it still feels like a 40 year old hotel. I imagine the Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, and other local competition are far, far better.

They put an indoor pool in the middle of the building, so dozens of rooms surround the pool and you can hear the crowd of kids in the pool till 11PM! Yes, that's how late the pool stays open. The minute we walked into the room, it sounded like a high-school gymnasium. It absolutely amazes me that they had the nerve to build the structure knowing full well the windows on the room wouldn't be sufficient to soundproof dozens of kids having a blast in the pool.

Arrived on Saturday evening 11/28/09. Check in was smooth although the gentleman at the front desk wasn't overly warm and friendly. We were given a room facing the indoor pool. We had read these rooms could be noisy but had no idea how bad it would be. Being a Saturday night the pool and jacuzzi was filled with children screaming and yelling from the moment we entered the room. It was so loud it was as if the room to the door facing the pool was wide open, which it wasn't. We were told the pool closes at 11:00 sharp so the noise would die down at that time. We waited until 11:15 and when the craziness continued we called the front desk to complain. Someone came and chased everyone out of the pool area about 10-15 minutes later. We proceeded to go to bed since we had an early start (6:00 am) the next morning. Fortunately I brought my earplugs along just in case. As I slept I could hear the yelling and screaming return to the pool area around midnight but I was too tired to get up and look out. Finally at 1:15 am the yelling became so bad (EVEN WITH MY EAR PLUGS IN) I got out of bed to see the jacuzzi filled with a gang of teenagers having a pool party. Enraged I called the front desk and complained once again. She stated "they aren't supposed to be in there" and I said "well they are and I'd appreciate if you get someone here to get them out, as I can't sleep." Someone did come about 15 minutes later but the yelling continued in the pool area for 30 more minutes or so before I was able to return to bed. Not sure what happened after that as I slept the rest of the night. My advice is avoid the rooms surrounding the pool especially on the weekend if you want a good night sleep or any peace and quiet. You will not get it in these rooms as they appear to have no sound proofing at all. Fortunately we won the room on Priceline so I can't complain about the price we paid. Maybe we were given the noisy room because we were Priceline customers. I would have gladly paid full price somewhere else if I could have been assured a peaceful nights rest. I would never accept a room facing the pool again if we ever stay here again, which I doubt that we will. This was our first time at this hotel and we didn't leave with a positive impression after what we experienced.

For an impromptu August getaway, we got an inexpensive room here for a very reasonable rate on Priceline. We were a little concerned about the reviews but now wonder if the negative reviews were from rooms that had not been renovated. Our room was spacious and quiet. We checked out the mini-golf and pool and may return with our kids.

severe lack of lighting in the room making it difficult to see exactly how clean everything is or isn't; one very small window; small tube TV; colorless, drab decor; no refrigerator in room; nothing about the place engendered a sense of relaxation or comfort except the free wireless internet; bid $64 on Priceline so it's hard to complain.
