I have toured this house many times over the past 20 years and always enjoy seeing the building and introducing out-of-towners to old Frederick history. The people taking care of the house and the tour change from time to time, but are always friendly and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong here. Please leave them a donation to help with upkeep!

“Architectural gem - don't miss!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Anyone with an interest in architecture and local history will enjoy this tour. Our guide was an amazing font of knowledge about the German heritage of this beautiful stone house, built around 1758, and showed us many fascinating details of its original condition interior.

Interesting German house exhibit to walk through. Near Baker Park; they cleaned the place up nicely.

“take the friday night haunting tour!”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

Have lived within walking distance of this museum house for almost 2 decades, can't believe it took me so long to take the Friday night tour which is all about the history and hauntings of the place. Way cool!

“Interesting Museum”

Small but worth a visit. You really get the feel for what it was like to live in the house years ago. I especially like the kitchen garden.
