“Best Burger and Beer in Frederick”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

Just returned to Brewer's Alley for my favorite meal there ... 8 oz. blue cheese burger and golden brown ale. On the weekends, Brewer's is always packed for lunch, so you can expect to wait for your meal so go with good company and you'll have a great time and forget about the wait. Although I have yet to have their fish and chips, I've gone with people who order and re-order it, so it must be great. Plus, when I look around the tables, I see a sea of burgers and fish and chips. The menu however is extensive so don't think you're limited to these meals! Highly recommend Brewer's Alley.

“A fun place in a great little town.”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

The nachos were large, warm and very tasty. I had a great burger, avocado, salsa - it was cooked just right - medium rare, but not bleeding... Excellent cheesecake, and nice strong coffee...a good value in a beautiful little city

“Great find!”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Had a long lunch here couple of times on recent trip. Great choice if beer and vegetarian food options (including real willingness by staff to check dishes were vegetarian and offering options if not) which was a godsend after having my fill of pizza. Friendly, without being overbearing, staff. Seems to be quite a family pub too - children seemed to be made welcome at lunchtime which was nice,

I preferred eating in the bar area. The atmosphere was nicer - less formal.

Would head straight here if visiting again,

“Solid Microbrew Restaurant”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

We've been going to brewers for years, and generally find it a reliable place to eat. Sometimes very, very good - sometimes just OK, but never bad.

It's a big busy place, so you'll never get very personal service but the servers are pleasant and attentive. The house brews are excellent - we like the Kolsch, but all of the brews are good.

They are very good with fish dishes - they tend to cook and season them well. Crab cakes are OK, hardly Maryland's best, but not bad. They generally do an excellent job with tilapia and rockfish.

They have an interesting selection of pizza, and they are better than average.

All in all, Brewers is a safe choice - you're assured of getting at least a good meal, and sometimes a home run.

“Try the beer and pizza”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I have been here for lunch and dinner and this restaurant does not miss. The food is delicious. It does always seem crowded so be prepared to wait or make reservations. They have patio seating in nice weather.

Try the pizza along with a beer (or the beer sampler). You won't be sorry.
