With advanced reservations we arrived and the coffee pot was broken. Never did get another. After 3 hrs or better the room was still cold. The front desk offered another room which was freezing. The least they could have done was heated it up before we arrived. We stayed in the original room. Mildew around the tub!!! No ice on the 3 rd floor as the brochure stated. Went for breakfast and the person that was to put it out had not showed up!! Later the front desk person put the food out. Spills and stains in the room behind the microwave. We were not impressed.

My wife & I just returned from 4 days in the Frederick Maryland area. We stayed at the Comfort Inn on route 85 & it was great with free breakfast, quite & clean rooms. The hotel looks very new. If you get a front facing room you have a view of the mountains. Things we did: Went to Gambrill State Park off route 40 & drove along Gambrill State Park Rd north all the way to Cunningham Falls State Park. Along the road there are vista overlooking the valley. We took a short hike to see Cunningham Falls. We drove to Emmitsburg about 20 min for lunch at the Carriage House Restaurant. Very good food & reasonable. If you join there email club you get 50% off a meal. We then toured Caoctin Mt National Park the site of Camp Drive. There are several short hikes to vistas for some great views. You can not see Camp David, only the access road. For dinner we went to Frederick & ate at Isaabella's Tavern on N Market St. They have a great selection of tapas & entrees. The next day we went to Harpers Ferry & toured lower town. If you are a civil war buff you definitely have to visit. Had lunch at Secret Six Tavern. Food was ok for lunch & there was a nice view from outside. We had dinner at Dutchs Daughter Restaurant in Frederick. Excellent food & atmosphere. A little pricey, but worth the cost. Other restaurants we enjoyed in Frederick were Firestones for lunch & Brewers Alley & Il Porto for dinner. This was a nice short few day getaway at a reasonable price.

First, when we tried to reserve a jacuzzi room, the front desk employee was rude and unhelpful. We had some questions, and when my husband asked him to repeat/explain something (the man had a thick accent) the gentleman became angry and terse.
When we got to the hotel, it was completely empty except for us and the staff (which was nice). But when we got up to our room, and found someone else's old food in the mini-refrigerator, and someone else's HAIR all inside the jacuzzi, I stopped wondering why this hotel was so deserted. The continental breakfast was fine, but by that time, I was so grossed out- I didn't want to think about what their kitchen looked like.

stayed for 1 night , visiting the area. got an excellent rate online. room was clean & roomy. had an old smell upon entering it. the bed was too soft. when I was informed their would be eggs with the continental breakfast I thought they would be scrambled, but they were hard boiled. staff was friendly. overall it was a good place to stay but don't expect a hot breakfast, or new furniture with the great room rate.

We are surprised that website "www.tripadvisor.com" is asking for another review from us because we received acknowledgement that the review was added to this website on 7/17/2009 via "www.xomreviews.com". Here is our review again.
We were on vacation visiting relatives in Frederick Maryland. We booked on June 25/09, our reservations via Hotel Planner.com to stay at the Comfort Inn, 7300 Executive Way, Frederick MD for the period July 6/09 to July 10/09. One day prior to our intended check-in date we needed to change the check-in date to July 7/09 with a check-out for July 11/09. This change was verbally confirmed with the booking agent, Hotel Planner.com as suggested by the reservation clerk at the Comfort Inn. When we arrived at the hotel on July 7/09 we were advised that our reservation was cancelled. This matter was corrected, so we thought at the time. On the morning of our check-out July 11/09 the front desk phoned our room (317) and told us that we we were posted as a check-out, the day prior, July 10/09. We are unsure which party is incompetent for this error, the hotel or the booking agent. This aside, the accommodation was about average with some exceptions. The bathtub could have been cleaned better. There was mildew at the corners where the wall meets the bathtub. The shower curtain had a hole in it which the front desk replaced after we brought this matter to their attention. The elevator had spill stains on the floor which had not been cleaned for 2 days. Again we brought this to the attention of person at the front desk. The lobby area had a unpleasant odour (like rotten eggs) and the mats/carpeting at the front door of the hotel were very dirty. In brief we would not stay at this hotel again. It is far from the standards we enjoyed at other Comfort Inns during our travels in the U.S.A.
Stop being ridiculous. I would waste film on such a deplorable establishment.
