“Great Old Style Venue”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Weinberg is a great place for multiple venues - great variety of entertainment from concerts, musicals, plays, and classic movies. The old style decor and atmosphere. Great for families, couples, and individuals.

I've been going to see The Nutcracker here every December since I was 3! Beautiful, old fashioned theatre...lots of interesting shows year round.

“Theater in Frederick”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Weinberg Center for the Arts is the best place in the city to see professional performances. The seating is comfortable and airy. They have a very good line up and most weekends there is something worth seeing at very reasonable prices.

“Awesome Theater”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

It is a throwback to the way theaters used to be in the "golden age" of theater-going. Opulent decor, a balcony, great acoustics, a refreshment counter straight out of the Summer of 1941. You just want to hang out in the lobby as long as possible and drink in the nostalgia.

“Restored Classic Theater in Frederick, MD”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Last week was the first time I have been in the Weinberg Center in many many years. This visit was to hear a guest speaker in their annual series, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The Theater appears to have been completely restored to its original beauty, and yet is equipped with all the modern technology needed for modern presentations. The organization that runs the theater does an excellent job, and is very "user" friendly. The interior layout even allows a instant access to the parking garage next door. The orchestra doors on the right open directly into the enclosed garage after the performance. The refreshment stand on the lobby is convenient, efficient, and not overpriced as in most theaters; for example, coffee and sodas were only &1.00.
If you get a chance to see a show, or just to see the inside of the theater, it is worth a visit. Three cheers for the City of Frederick and the private foundation that saved this beautiful facility.
