“Good food, slow kitchen customer service-meh...”

This was our second time visiting this place. This time we thought we did things right by making a reservation (last time we had to eat in the bar area, or wait 2 hours). When we arrived, it wasn't very crowded, and there were lots of open tables, but we were seated very very close to another couple. Seriously, the tables are so close that you might as well get to know the people next to you. We asked if we could be moved to one of the many open tables and we were told "no, we won't be able to relocate you." Really? So, we sat there on our date night with my husbands thigh almost touching another man's thigh, and listening to someone else's conversation. The empty tables that we had asked to be moved to, remained empty for 45 minutes to an hour. That being said, the food is delicious, the kitchen is very slow, but the food is worth the wait. The wine list is fantastic, and you can try them in flights of 3. We got the Summer Sippin' Flight and all 3 were wonderful. The beer list is not impressive, especially if you are a craft beer fan. Oh, and you have to ask for bread for your table, but they do have homemade focaccia bread. Good food, good wine, but they could use some help with customer service.

“Good Attention to detail with a pleasant setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2014

This was a very pleasant afternoon for a leisure lunch under the trees beside Carroll Creek. Service was warm and attentive, in spite of some sort of big party inside. Food was well prepared without being overstated on the menu. Good selection of wines. Certainly worth a repeat visit. Central of downtown Frederick with good parking facilities nearby.

“I would give it zero stars if I could!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2014 via mobile

We ordered an appetizer for ten bucks. It was pork rinds and guacamole. Exactly 2 tablespoons of guacamole. When we asked for more the waitress told us it would be 2 dollars more. My Peruvian chicken was not cooked through. I still don't know how they could undercook a tiny piece of meat. And over cook everything else. BEWARE: they allow dogs! I think the constantly barking dog sitting exactly 10 inches from my feet, and his oblivious owner enjoyed the place but it was a huge waste of time and money for my husband and I.

“Retirement dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2014

Reading other reviews in Trip Advisor was important to me in choosing this restaurant. GREAT location in Frederick. Restaurant is popular! Whew. It is loud. Very loud. Lots of attentive staff. Great service and mediocre food. The owner is creative and literate when it comes to descriptions of the wine flights. Charming, actually. The wines chosen for the Cabernet flight did not match the descriptions -- in my opinion. Ordered a very expensive glass of Cabernet and it was delicious.
Fried green tomatoes first course had too much breading. White asparagus salad was delicious.
The burger with dipping sauce was very good. Cheese on fries was a surprise. Not a good surprise. Strawberry shortcake description was awesome. The result was a complete disappointment. Berries were not fresh; gelato was good but presentation was not impressive.
My guest ordered Peruvian chicken which was DRY. Probably won't return. Final comment: most disappointed with wine choices. Note: this is just my opinion.

“Good food, wine and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2014

Located next to a multi storey car park, the entrance is not impressive as its just a door to a lift shared with many other units, typically offices. Parking is sensible ar $1 per hour.
It overlooks a small creak spanned by a bridge, not exactly the river side venue I expected, bu things looked up from there.
Efficient boking on line resrved a table at 8pm on a friday night when they were busy. Smart modern interior. Tables a little close packed, but acceptable.
Water provided without any fuss. Wine selection intersting, expensive and more than a little pretentious, in my view.

Salad of beetrootvand leaves was lovely, if it were better presented it would be perfect-the mound of leaves covered the interesting colour and shapes of the walnuts and beetroots.

Steak fillet mignon was cooked well, perhaps a little charred externally for medium rare. Mashed potatoes were creamy and perfect. Green beans were well cooked, just a little crunch, but the portion of these was a little mean.
Service was perfect, available, quick but not overpowering.
Would recommed this to other visitors.
Price is more like $50 per head plus gratuity
