I have eaten lunches and dinner here several times this summer. Last week we had a meeting in the mid-room wine "cellar". It has been a very good experience during each visit.

The salads are great. Love the apppetizers. And of course, based on its name, you can always depend on a great glass of wine - or have fun with a flight. Try a smaller glass or a larger one. You get to decide what and how you want to imbibe.

The menu changes seasonally or more frequently, but it is always creative yet approachable. I have only been disappointed in one dish, a peach tarte on the dessert menu. I love the apricot salad. My friends had one of the tuna dishes last week, one chose raw tuna and the other asked that it be cooked. Both raved about its quality. Another tried the arctic char when she was told it was similar to salmon. She pronounced it very good! The duck confit and WK corned beef were also reduced to clean plates!

The service is personable without being intrusive. The decor is bistro-ish, but not cold. The prices are well matched to the food options. Not overly expensive, but it's not a budget restaurant. It's friendly, casual, comfortable and one of my favorites in town.

Went with friends to take advantage of Restaurant Week and had a great time. Location on Carroll Creek was pleasant and liked the restaurant's decor. Service was good as our server promtly arrived and she was very pleasant. As this was our first visit we had a number of questions regarding the Restaurant Week special, the wines offered and specific menu item. Our server was able to handle all our questions and made some very good suggestions. Our food arrived quickly and the timing between courses allowed us to enjoy each course and not feel rushed. The food was excellent, nicely presented and left us satisfied. Plan on going back to try other dishes and sample the wines offered. Especially liked the way they offered 5-6 groupings of three wines that can be purchase as a sampling special for one price.

John McCain (yes, really) is the General Manager. Which is why it's an average review. It would be excellent if he'd led, and was poor/horrible before he showed up at our table. The owners need to give him some leeway to upgrade the wine list and formally suggest pairings. John literally SAVED our evening. The servers got ahead of themselves twice in bringing food before the wine ... and hovering or being invisible. THEY NEED TRAINING - in how to help patrons make selections, in how to describe pairings and how to pay attention to tables! Pinot noir flight was abysmal. BBQ diver scallops were excellent, but three not four? Really? Rib eye special was $40. Overpriced but easier to take when John brought the RIGHT wine to go with it. Market salad was "meh", but chocolate dessert was sharable and quite good with the Saldo Zinfandel.

My wife and I ate here on the 28th of July. We had the Sea bass Special. The food was wonderful and the service was great. I would recommend this place highly and will go back again.

Slightly different menu and wine list from sister restaurant in Leesburg. Ate there with my wife early July 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Noted that other reviews complain about parking and waits, but there is a parking garage next door and their web site has a link for open table reservations, so I don't really understand those comments. They may have recently added reservations, but the garage doesn't look new. Worth a stop for dinner.
