“Saturday Night Disappointment”
Reviewed November 21, 2009

Despite the excellent service, the meal was subpar. We invited two friends from out-of-town to have dinner to pay back for Elton John/Billy Joel tickest they gave us. For a 7 o'clock dinner, two of the items on the menu were not available. And three of us wanted one of the three items. Also, white zin was not available as a wine. When we got are meals, the two rib roasts were overly fatty and quite chewy. The veal dish was tasteless and not finished. However, the salmon dish was superb. So were the desserts. Don't sick in the back room, it was so noisy that you could barely hear the person diagonally across the table. A look at the walls showed no attempt at noise abatement/absorption. We were all in our 60s. A disappointing place to eat with upscale prices.

“Great menu”
Reviewed July 11, 2009

I've dined here several times, mostly at lunchtime. They have a great lunch menu special where you can pick three items for just $11. Always a good variety of food. Their chargrilled burger is delicious, although very messy to eat - too much in the sandwich. Service is sometimes slow, but the atmosphere makes up for it. There's also outdoor dining out back on the patio with umbrellas. Great for a sunny day.

“Excellent upscale place”
Reviewed July 3, 2009

Nine old friends met at Acacia for dinner and had a superb evening. In addition to the good food and service, the noise level was low enough so that we could actually carry on a conversation---a rarity in most restaurants nowadays.
