I had the corned beef/sauerkraut sandwich and my wife fish and chips. Excellent selection of beers on tap. I would rate the restaurant hirer except it was a cold day and the restaurant was cold....and the bathrooms were awful.

we dropped by here today for lunch - the service was terrific - local beer was good, as was the chardonnay from the local vineyard. Fantastic crab chowder, decent house salad - wings were good. The menu offers more than this --- we were saving it for dinner which turned out to be a mistake.... should have eaten more here!

The title says it all...Stopped in here a few times over the years and always had a good time. Great food and cold beer make for a must stop when downtown.

This definitely has a bar vibe and feel. Due to the dark wood paneling on walls and ceilings, it has a "dark" feel. There is sitting at the bar and some tables. There is also a place for playing darts. Our waitress was very busy, but still friendly, attentive, and skilled. The food was very good. I got the Reuben, so messy, but so good. The french fries were also very yummy.

The bathroom had a funny smell, maybe a little musty, but overall we had a good visit, and the food hit the spot.

This was a first time for three of us over lunch on a Saturday. We used a Restaurant.com coupon and spent a total including coupon of $50. There are some good and some negatives, but overall, i'd go here again, by the saving grace of very good food.

The first impression you get when you walk through the door is that this is pretty much a bar with tables and has a pretty good menu that's a bit more than your typical bar food. The thing that hit us immediately upon entry is the mildew smell. It is overpowering. If the management is reading this, I would strongly suggest getting yourself a Fantech air exchange ventilator that can exchange outside air in without loss of heat/cooling (heat exchange ventilator). I've added one in the most moist basement and it made a world of difference. Ok...on with it. If you can get past the mildew smell (we eventually did), the menu has some pretty good sandwiches and Irish standards.

We got the Steak and Potatoes, a Rueben, and the Chipotle BBQ wings. Food was awesome all around, but took a bit to get to us...probably because we had the steak well done. The beer selection is very good...the Peanut Butter Chocolate Porter...WOW....fantastic. The server was attentive and pleasant...though seemed to be the only one and at a point, a bit overwhelmed....but we didn't have issues with the service.

One thing we noticed were a number of people who came in after reading the menu, took one sniff of the mildew and promptly exited. You do sort of get used to it...but seriously...management...invest $700 in the ventilator...it'll kill that smell...no loss of cool/heat. If you can do that, we'd surely bring more friends for more...and you won't see patrons doing an about-face just because of the atmosphere. It was a bit dark....and temp could have been less frosty. Do bring a jacket or long sleeve shirt. If you take food to go...you may be better off.
