Staff was very friendly and helpful Has great stories about folk who visit regularly. Environment kitschy. Love the old cars. Very clean, comfy in a 1950s way. It would be nice to have access to coffee either in the room or a common area. But there is a great donut and coffee shop down the street. Another throw-back to the 50s.

Stayed here for one night on last leg of Route 66. The forecourt has a lot of classic cars and Route 66 memorabilia. The rooms are clean and tidy, good value for money. Round beds are available too, if you like that sort of thing.

Stopped here for one night on the way to Vegas. It's a no frills place but was clean and tidy with friendly owners. Barstow is a bit of a ghost town but a must if you're doing the old route 66 and this motel and it's interesting courtyard full of beat up old cars and artifacts didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere and I'd definitely recommend if you're passing through the area.

We stopped off at the Route 66 Motel during a road trip down to L.A from Vegas. Treated to a massive round bed - there's a first time for everything! The room was clean - Air con not the best but it was extremely hot outside (120) so will forgive on this occasion! Spent around an hour taking photos outside in the parking lot before we left which is shared by some rusted up old trucks and Cadillacs. Overall, a really fun place to stay for a stopover.

Room tip: Ask for a room with a round bed. Most probably the only time you will ever sleep in one!
