We stayed one night at this motel on our road trip. We liked the classic feel of the place - when you arrive, there are dioramas of the 1960s, such as garages with old cars to explore. The room was clean and the area was quiet. If you're looking for a fun Route 66 experience, this would be a great place.

My husband and I enjoyed our best nights' sleep here. Room 12 was very quiet with no common walls with other guests. We had two queen beds (not round). Because this small motel is one level, there is no noise above or below you that is so common in hotels.

If you are expecting plush, move on. The room was clean, not spotless, very basic. No shampoos or hair dryer. But we did have a fridge, microwave and airconditioning/heating.

If the price is right for you and you just want a one night stay, it's fine. We paid $56.00 inclusive of taxes at the counter.

Very nice owners.

Dining options: drive down the road to Di Napoli's Firehouse. It's a fabulous Italian Restaurant. What a gem. Also we ate at Just Grill It Teryaki. That was tasty. Probably would have enjoyed this more for lunch.

Very close is the Route 66 Museum and the Discovery Centre if you have kids.

Room Tip: Room 12 is the go unless you really want to try out the round beds!

When we decided on a road trip we wanted to do some on Route 66. This little motel completed our trip! The owners were the most hospitable we had encountered, taking time to tell us the history of the place. They've had it 30 years and have done a lot of work! They take pride in their business. Very clean, great night's sleep. Was disappointed we didn't get round beds though.

VERY hard to find in the midst of the dozens of motels on that street! There are several sound alike places, but the clerk gave me clear directions and wasn't mad when I kept calling to tell him I couldn't find the right place. Stayed one night after leaving Vegas. Cheap. Updated, with ceramic floors- NICE. Decent towels. WiFi worked, TV was great. Antique coffee maker in the tiny lobby was quaint. Very diverse crowd, but felt safe. They do all their business using note pads and stickies (no computer!)- also quaint. I recommend the place for a blast from the past.

This is an old motel, so don't expect too much. Nicely remodeled, wifi, flat screen tv & CLEAN. Old rusty vehicles in parking lot is a nice touch. Nice people, very inexpensive. Refreshing change from Best Western, La Quinta, Comfort Inn and the like at Motel 6 prices. So if you are in Barstow, give it a stay.

Friendly family run place. Good clean rooms. Easy to find on the main strip. Not to be confused with hotel with similar name.

Bar round the corner with an interesting atmosphere. Serves beer in pickle jars.

If you have time check out the drive I'm movie theatre.
