Excellent Mexican food, especially the enchiladas verdes. We found this restaurant through trip advisor. It is a great spot to stop after traveling through the desert.

Lola's kitchen's menu says best Mexican food in Barstow, best Mexican Home Cooking. It is indeed, that and more. Of the five Mexican restaurants we ate in during our stay in Northern Arizona and Southern California, it was the best. I ordered pork soft tacos at all of the restaurants and the addition of the ranchero cheese and pico de gallo with the lettuce topped the taste. Spectacular! Spanish spoken by both patrons and workers, with Spanish music playing in the background, made you know that whatever you ordered it would be rewarding for your taste buds. Thank you, Lola! For those of you traveling through, don't miss it, and for you lucky Barstow inhabitants, ENJOY.

It's really hard to spot this place while driving, because it's in a section of the strip mall not parallel to the road. But if you find it it's a good place to eat. They open at 4am for breakfast, so they are way ahead of the competition. I had the Huevos Rancheros, which is really "Heuvos Verde" because it comes with green chili sauce instead of red. But it's cooked to perfection (eggs firm outside but runny yolk, tortillas fried but not too hard), and the taste was great. Plus rice and beans, and chips and spicy red salsa. Their only miss was on the coffee -- I could not find any cream or creamer! I tried to ask where it was but they had all retreated to the kitchen. Ah well, it was good and I would eat there again.
