“Tourist attraction for sure”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

I live in Barstow this place is a convenient place to go to if you are on your way to Vegas and back. It has a variety of food places inside other than just the McDonalds. It also has a souvenir store and candy store inside. If we go we just hit the drive thru, but other wise avoid it all together. As well as the food and stores it also houses the Grey Hound Bus station and all of the Charter busses stop here so it is often very crowded. I always laugh when we drive by and see the passengers from a certain charter bus standing in front taking pictures of the Starbucks across the street.

“Very touristy, very bad vibes, they did have bathrooms though”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Honestly I was a little rattled when i first pulled into Barstow Station. These 3 kids jumped out of the dumpster that I parked near which was a bit strange. We went inside to use the bathroom, which was the reason we stopped there, and they had a bunch of touristy nick-nacks, some were pretty cool. When we left we were taking a picture of the trains and a sketchy, possibly meth-head, came up to my girlfriend and started talking with her and acting weird. I could tell it was headed in the wrong direction so we just took off. It was a rather odd experience, but then again its in the middle of the Mojave desert so there's bound to be some weird stuff going on.

“Lots of fast food restaurants.”
Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

It is a bus stop, lots of fast food eateries. Also has shops with souvenirs. The town is in the middle of the desert. Not much else to do in the town.

“So much history”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

We loved walking around this historic train station and were very sad that the museum(s) were open only Fridays and weekends. Still, there was plenty to see and lots of trains. I imagined what it must have been like in its heyday; very cool!

“Keeps Growing and Growing!”

Forgot to rate this last year I guess. Anyway, I am not recomending you eat there, I am just saying you should stop in and check it out. Lots of interesting shops and fast food if you are hungry.
