“Crowded, touristy, not too clean”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Las Vegas from SoCal because our top choice (Lola's kitchen) is closed on Sundays. We should have gone elsewhere.

Barstow Station houses a few fast food restaurants (McDonald's, Panda Express, Mexican restaurant, sandwich place and dessert stops) and kitschy touristy souvenir stops under one roof. The McDonald's was very poorly organized with long delays and problems with our order like no dressing or fork for a salad. (The sign stating that no refunds were available but that they would instead correct any errors to orders should have tipped us off to check our order when received.) Seating is limited and not well kept up. The lighting is poor, tables and floors looked a little grimy, and the trash was overflowing from the containers. The bathrooms were a walk up a narrow set of stairs (not sure what wheelchair accessible options they have).

“Bunch of Tourist Shops and Fast Food Joints”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

If you like to buy cheap souvenirs at tourist traps and dine on fast foods, then this is the place for you, because there is an abundance of both of them at this establishment. But it you don't appreciate this kind of shopping and dining experience, stay away from this place. Plus, this place features an over-sized McDonald's that probably has some of the worst and most inefficient service I've seen in my travels throughout North America.

“Good for a quick stop in the desert”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

If you're traveling with a group of people along I-15 and not everyone wants to eat at the same fast-food restaurant, this is as good of a stop as any, and the bathrooms are clean. Several restaurants and small stores are under one roof in an area built around train cars. When we stopped early on a weekday afternoon it was quite crowded, so I assume that on summer weekends it would be packed. The place kind of reminded me of various places I've been to in the Third World -- especially the mom-and-pop stores that sell nothing and everything at the same time. Because of its location along two major freeways in the middle of nowhere (or at least as nowhere as you can be in Southern California), this stop gets a lot of bus and tour-group traffic.

“Very Crowded!”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

After traveling through the desert for hours we stopped here. We were not impressed. Parking was tight and lots of people once we got into the station. For as many people as there was the bathrooms were at least clean. After we left and drove a little farther we found a McD's and many other restaraunts with lots of space and less people.

“Good for bus groups”
Reviewed May 18, 2012

This place was like a zoo with many bus groups. Has a food court and shops all in one roof. Many restrooms.
