We were on a search for the best pork in Spain since we had read so much about it. We were not disappointed!
We had a late lunch on a slow day for guests and were delighted with the wonderful service of Nicki and Lucas, the chef owner. They are good friends and their enthusiasm and hard work was very evident.
We had a very reasonably priced dry white wine, Raimat, which went very well with our meals. The 4 of us enjoyed the tomato, mozzarella and pesto salad, the truffled egg and the scallops. All presented beautifully and cooked expertly. My friend said that the scallops were cooked better than at home which is a fishing town in MA!!
We had the suckling pig which was outstanding-done in a light apricot fig sauce with a nice crusty skin with potatoes and baby onions.
Our friend had the Iberico surprise which was pork that had been sliced and was equally delicious.
The desserts were the best we have had so far in Spain! The cheesecake was served in a mason jar with crumbled brown sugar and fruit-enough for two. The coolant with ice cream was outrageously good, too.
If you have one place to eat while here Tourandot should be your choice.
