Classic Begur Hotel
Ranked #10 of 14 Hotels in Begur
Certificate of Excellence

Location, location, location. Of all the towns we visited in Costa Bravo, Begur was our hands down favorite. Located on a hill with views to the sea, the town has old buildings, winding streets, the old church and the mandatory castle -:) Thee town has lots of good dinning and shopping options (Marcy is a professional and she says the shops are very good). The hotel is just off the square so you can walk every where in town. The hotel has 12 rooms. Our room was nicely decorated and sized for 2. I really liked the black out metal shades (push a button and they slide down). Others have fairly covered the hotel in their reviews.

Before you book a room, note that the staff speaks limited English. Unless you speak Spanish, you will need to take the lead on planing activities and where to go to dinner. We enjoyed doing that our selves (we chatted with locals and fellow tourists for recommendations).

The hiking it great near by and of course the many beaches - enjoy, we did!

Fabulous room, lovely breakfasts, use of Spa included which was an added bonus - thank you. Helpful friendly staff. Central location for walking to local beaches. Town is small and it can easily be walked around in an hour or so.

We stayed at this pretty property with our two boys. Our large family room was clean, comfortable and perfect for a family of four. The bathroom was well-appointed with a huge shower. The price was reasonable and included a small but nice breakfast. There is a tiny spa in the hotel with a nice hammam and offering massage treatments. The hotel has nearby parking for about 10 Euros a day and Begur is the perfect place for exploring the Costa Brava. The town itself is very quaint with loads of little restaurants and shops. There is a small "Castle" a nice walk away and access to lots of coastal walking trails. The staff - very nice and accommodating, but who speak very little English - gave us some great maps and suggested some lovely hikes to several nearby beaches and coves.

Perfect location, beautiful rooms and AMAZING breakfast. When we had to leave early the next day, they made us a breakfast and brought it to our room the night before. They also gave us beach towels to use. Very hospitable.

We stayed here during off season (in February). The hotel was an easy walk from the bus stop. The employees were very helpful. We read previous reviews of this hotel, so we knew we would be able to get beach towels from them (which we did with no problem). Also, we had to leave early the following morning before breakfast, so they brought up a tray to our room the night before so we could have something to eat before we left. There was a heated towel rack in the (very big) bathroom and we each had a robe and slippers to wear down to the spa. The bed might have been one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. Breakfast was fabulous. LOTS of foods to choose from.

The only reason I docked a star is because of the spa hot tub in the basement. When we walked in, we were in awe, however the water was actually really cool and we didn't end up staying in it for very long because of that. Also, there were a lot of stairs to get to our room. They may have an elevator for those who need it, but we didn't look for it.

Overall, I am surprised this hotel isn't rated higher. I will definitely stay there again if I ever get the opportunity to return to Begur.

We enjoyed our three night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast was delicious and varied. We were a little disappointed with the balcony- the wall surrounding it was high and we couldn't see a thing! Great location steps from the town square. I also appreciated the Nespresso coffee maker. I brought my own pods- there's a one euro charge for the pods.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view balcony

Set in the beautiful narrow streets of Begur this unique hotel leads right onto the square, where you can eat, drink or simply sit and watch the locals. Hotel classic is in the ideal location, with parking just metres away and loads of restuarant to satisfy any cuisine craving you may have. The hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are very clean and everything you need for the perfect stay is right there for you, with a fully stocked mini bar, at affordable prices. The rooms over look the town of Begur and offer a relaxing balcony to sit and enjoy a few rays and a nice cool beverage. The breakfast was very fresh and a great range to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you hotel classic.
