I ate here twice during a recent business trip to Concord. The food here is terrific. I loved the fresh ingredients and the French styling of the dishes. The prices are good and the serving sizes just right. The place is always full of locals which I always consider a good sign. Thue haf wonderful pastries and serv great coffee all day.

Back room is restaurant, front serve yourself cafe, but there are no reservations, so you can't count on the restaurant part or on room in the front. No printed menu. Quiches, entrees, salads are nothing special, though there are a number of vegetarian choices. Sandwiches best choice; desserts various and elegant--choose from the dessert case.

We were hurrying to accomplish all that we could in a one day period. We stopped at LaProvence on Thoreau Street in Concord, MA and were greeted with a friendly face with a big smile. The young lady showed us the specials board and pointed out many fresh salads as well as smelling the rotisserie chicken in the background. We selected 3 different meals so we could share...on the advise of Caroline, the young lady giving us her undivided attention. After we ate, she let us know that they also have entrees to-go in their refrigeration case and that was awesome. We selected dinners for all 5 of us who will end up at home and it was a marvelous finish to a great discovery. Can't wait to return!

At this order at the counter bakery/restaurant, the sandwiches are fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. It's located directly across from the MBTA station, a short walk from the downtown area in Concord. I had the cheese and pate on french baguette (you pay extra for brie, but there are other cheese choices). My hubby had tomato and cheese. The sandwiches were good sized and sides of salad are extra. Food is delivered to your table which might or might not have been cleaned (depending on how busy they are). Many people ordered the plated meals and the place was hopping. They have limited hours (no late evenings), and be sure to buy a warm baguette and a palmier or two on the way out.

Yes, the owners are from France and they know what they are doing. Simple food served in plated style. All of their offerings have the Provencal "flavor" and style. Dust off your French and enjoy a meal one day soon. No reservations so be prepared to wait a bit at times. The desserts are sinful.
