I brought a tour group to La Provence. The staff had set up a dining room for us and brought the food right out. The quiche was delicious, as were the vegetable sides and the pastry desserts. The staff was welcoming and delightful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Don't miss this place!

We stopped by for take out tonight in this sweet French cafe. It's conveniently located across the street from the train station. Just keep in mind that they close at 7 p.m. Had quiche and a beet salad which were delicious. My hubby had a chicken salad sandwich on a fresh crusty baguette. Prices are very reasonable--around $7 for each--and large. So glad we stopped in to grab a light dinner.

When Robert first opened La Provence over ten years ago, he did everything himself and it took a few years for the business to grow. One thing that hasn't changed at Robert’s expanded is the quality of the food and service. It's really like a having a small corner of Provence right here in Concord. They have a terrific selection of cakes, pastries, meats and cheeses. The lunch plates are really good and very reasonably priced. They also have take away dinners which are fantastic. All in all it's a great place to eat in Concord.

It's wonderful to have a place like this in the burbs. It's always busy with locals having lunch and coffee. Because I've lived in Europe I'm probably fussier than the average local.
On more than one occasion I've found La Provence's cakes to be stale, and some appear to be more Italian than French. Their Mille-feuille for example doesn't taste anything like those I've eaten in France, having a more textured, ricotta like filling.
A French cafe n France wouldn't serve on plastic plates, and it's great to see that La Provence offers both options, but it would nice for the environment if they just didn't offer the plastic at all.

Their quiches are wonderful!

There were so many excellent-looking vegetarian side dishes to choose from, we ended up getting a full side-salad-plate as a meal; and thankfully it was all great! We also tried a leek quiche which was also very tasty. Good prices and quick service in a small shop/cafe atmosphere.
