Tucked back behind the front desk of the Inn is a small, comfortable pub. Head as far back toward the rear left corner of the building as you can. When you're there you feel like you just came in from the countryside having been away from home for weeks and you've returned to town to enjoy a sandwich and a beer with old friends. Outstanding character, service, food, drink and with live entertainment most nights of the week. i think Tuesday is the only night they don't have some form of entertainment. Great pub menu and the price is right. Highly recommended.

According to legend, the Hote part of this placeis haunteed- take due notice. Supposed someof teh British Troops that were wounded at the Bridge were brought here and their spirits have stayed behind. The restaurant also supposedly has a ghost wandering through it but the food is quite good and the service is impeccable. If you have no qualms about sharing your meal or accomodations with a spirit then this is the place for you.

The oldest Inn in the USA, with reasonable food, priced like you would expect at such a historical venue. It's all about the location and ambience at the Colonial Inn.

The colonial inn is a treasure . The atmosphere is old world and especially charming at Christmas . Expect Linen table cloths , a coat check , excellent service and delicious chicken pot pie . The menu is up to date and trendy , but the old stand-by pot roast is still very popular. At times , the sparse staff may be stretched .Definitely make reservations. I Wandered around and discovered a cozy tap room with a nice fire and tables by the hearth. Colonial inn is not a hip place and that's the magic .

This is a beautiful inn with lots of history. The dining room is lovely. And the food is usually good. I haven't had a bad meal here. They serve tea in the afternoon and have jazz nights from time to time.
