The performances are surprisingly well done for being onside of the city. They have won awards and are extremely professional. Art classes and art with the environment

A great place to see incredible art and meet the artists who ache their studios there year round. Purchase great works of art, jewelry, pottery for yourself and friends.

The Emerson Umbrella is located in what had been a town public school. It has rental studios for artists, many of whom open their studios to the public, and usually they will leave their door open to indicate that you're welcome to come inside to see artists at work, or to browse their paintings, sculptures, drawings, pottery etc., which is often for sale.
Also, there are frequent open houses where all studios are open, and many of the artists provide for reasonable fees, lessons in most categories of art.
The building is a hundred or so years old,and consists of four floors of space. My experience is that most artists welcome visitors. I have taken watercolor lessons here, as well as life-drawing classes etc.
Emerson Umbrella is located just a 10 minute walk from Concord Center, across the street from the Town Library.

A fun place to take art classes. I've studied here for 2 years and have enjoyed the experience. It's an old school building and the rooms are spacious and well-lit. The instructors are well-versed and friendly. I'd recommend it for studying art.
