Description: This is a popular local spot perfect for tourists, too (Concord is a big tourist town). Looks and feels like a hip diner, but the food, esp breakfast, is anything but.

This place was recommended by locals and we were very happy with the food and prices. The Asian salmon salad was excellent, as was the chicken salad sandwich. Parking nearby makes it easily accessible.

The reviews here are mixed, but we decided to go. The place is clean and bright and the food was yummy (avacado-BLT and ruben). Noise was not a problem. I agree with the other folks that none of the people working here seem to be happy about it. Ironically one of the waitresses said something about teaching yoga as well.

We had dinner at Helen's. It was recommended by a local which is always a good sign. I had the walden Pond chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious and huge. I took half to go and had for breakfast the next morning. It's right in Main st. Near the Concord Museum and little park.

Having never visited Concord before we wanted to check out a local eatery. Upon walking in we did not know if we could seat ourselves or not. The hostesses looked so clueless and even though they made eye contact with us several times, they never helped seat us. We had to end up seating our party separately. because they staff wouldn't clear off a table to fit four. When thy finally cleared it off (after about 15 minutes) we moved so we could all sit together and the waitress was so rude about it! Another con, they only take cash. Let's get with the times, Helen's. Also, you might want to train your staff a bit better. I would never come back here.

If you ever come to Concord, MA, stop by Helen's restaurant. It is owned by a family that has pictures of the restaurant from its beginning. It is fun, the food is very good, and the wait staff are friendly and wonderful. It is frequently crowded, which shows how popular it is. There is no liquor license, but the place is worth the visit. Breakfast is awesome - try the omelettes or French Toast. The burrito are fabulous. All good, and at a very good price too. Its hometown cooking and a great place to bring the kids. Come and enjoy.
