the diverse topography covered in this hike was fantastic. stone steps to pinyon forests to steep overlooks and a great wall of petraglyphs. an easy 2 hour loop.

“So fun,very unique hiking”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2012

This was so fun because the trail takes you up steps, around boulders, through cracks in the boulders. It finishes on the top of the Mesa which is flat but the first half of the hike is more strenuous

“Nice hike and petroglyphs at end worth it”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2012

Pretty lush for the area, lot's of trees on way to site. Good views of the canyon too. Plan at least 2 hours for it. The trip back on the mesa is pretty boring, you may want to go back the way you came.

This is a beautiful hike. We aren't super experienced so we were happy to find this a little challenging. I highly recommend it.
