Not too bad of a climb to see Cliff Palace and well worth it to get to the rooms below. Guides are very knowledgeable.

“A fascinating look into the past”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The ranger led tour of Cliff Palace is both interesting and educational. During the presentation we learned a great deal about the native americans who lived on, and developed the cliff dwellings and othr structures at Mesa Verde. The Cliff House tour is the least strenuous of the cliff dwelling tours available at the park, but it does involve a 100 foot decent down stone stair followed by a similar climb to return to the parking lot. Most of the folks in the group we toured with were 65+ and all made it with no problem but if you have significant physical limitations this tour may not be for you.

Incredible value for everyone, and the guides were knowledgeable and personable. I need to go back...you almost need a second day to see everything.

“Awesome!”

The ranger guided tour was great. Would have liked to walk more through the palace, but we understood that this was not possible. Highly recommend this tour.

“Unforgettable!!!”

Loved that the Ranger takes a limited amount of people to the site at a time, so it's easy to ask questions and wander around the site.
