My wife and I had dinner in Casa Marcial at end of June 2012. We chose the tasting menu. The quality of the ingredients was excellent - how they accomplish this in the middle of nowhere is beyond my imagination. I particularily enjoyed the carrot and leek soup - unbelievable freshness and smoothness, probably the best soup I have ever had. A dish quite rare to Michelin star restaurants. My wife's favourite were the mussel salad and the lobster. On the dessert we had a long discussion with the chef whether green tea goes well together with chocolate or not. Moot point :)
The atmosphere of the restaurant is homely and warm. You can see that the whole staff are friends with each other.
Two Michelin stars is just right in my opinion. Definitely worth a detour if you are in northern spain.
