I remember the Riomar as a beach shack bar when I last visited Llanes about 16 years ago. It's now a modern bar with a terrace overlooking Toro beach. The dining room lacks a bit of atmosphere but the food is really worth a visit. We chose to eat from the "Raciones" menu rather than eating set dishes, so we ordered a selection of seafood and salad tapas. It has a bit of a reputation locally so we were expecting really good food. The Parrochas (baby sardines) were excellent as was the Ensalada Rusa (tuna and potato salad bound in mayonaise). Good patatas bravas were an excellent accompaniment. We washed the meal down with a delicious sangria, the best we had all week.
The service was excellent and friendly and we would definitely go back again, the only negative really is a bit of a soulless dining room and insufficient terrace space to be able to eat a meal outside in comfort.
