Went there with kids, beautiful place but was closed twice. Normally is supposed to open from 10-1:30pm and from 4pm - 8pm but was closed when we went there at 11am on a Tuesday.

There is not much to do in the town if you get bored with the beach but if you can make it to the top of the rock then it offers great views over the sea as well inland to the Sierra Nevada. The castle has only a few internal structures.

Excavation work being carried out so much of the site is currently closed to the public. Worth the walk up the hill for the views....

We walked up to see the castle and we did get in, but parts of it are closed for repairs (April 2017). Worth the climb though, for views of the area.
