Best Western Hotel Salobrena
Ranked #2 of 2 Hotels in Salobrena
Reviewed October 31, 2013

Really lovely location and has spectacular views over the sea and Salobrena. Very clean public areas and the rooms are spotless in addition to the linen.Hotel staff are so helpful and hard working and cannot do enough for you. Plenty of choice of delicious food and meals to include avocados, mussels, fresh fish and fruit etc. Very relaxing hotel and we like it as it is quiet. There is a lovely pool area and a large covered pergola where you can sit and relax and have a cool drink. There is a regular hotel bus that takes you to Salobrena or Alumencar so you can go out daily. It is also nice to take a walk around the hotel and down to the little beach. The only negative is leaving to travel home! Looking forward to going back again.

Room Tip: Annexe rooms are really quiet and have a lovely view

We stayed 3 weeks in Salobrena ~ 25 years ago and obviously a few things have changed . The Moorish castle is still there, the appartment we rented also, in the old town. But the Best Western is a new comer on the carretera to Malaga, not quite close to Salobrena( you need a car to get out and Salobrena is not that easy to drive into). Nice garden though around the hotel but ... i' m afraid this is it . Very rude personnel at front desk. Language not an issue, since we speak English , French and a reasonable level of Spanish. Room quite so-so considering the price. Not a pleasant experience. After six months, we still remember how difficult if was for us , the customers.Glad we spent only one night.

Excellent location, beautiful views. Very clean, good quality drinks for all inclusive, Food was good too. Stayed solo with Saga in a twin room with a sea view. Pleasant entertainment in the evening. No loud music. The swimming pool is big, clean and the water was unusually warm. Can't wait to go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for twin or double if travelling alone.

We were quite surprised by this hotel, it had a few reviews which were not good. However we found that it was a very good hotel in a quiet location away from the town of Salobrena. We had a great room with a view of the town in the distance. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean by the staff. The restuarant had a really good selection of food, Coeliacs were catered for very well with a selection of food and cakes and cereals. The bus service into the town was useful, but the taxis were reasonable. There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and the pool area was well maintained. Overall a very good break, I would recommend this hotel .

We stayed at this hotel with an organised trip. The first room we were put in was dire!! Fortunately - after speaking to the assistant manager - we were moved to a lovely room with an amazing few. Food at the hotel was good - plenty of variety and helpful pleasant staff. However, this hotel is obviously being refurbished (which it does need) and if they do it well - it will be the perfect place to spend time exploring the Sierra Nevadas and the Alpujarras. Would go again - but only if we had one of the superior rooms.

Room Tip: Nothing less than a superior room - with views looking out to the sea - perfect!!!
