Having stayed here before, we decided it was just the place to go for New Year. A lovely hotel, very peaceful and with wonderful views.
We had a lovely room, overlooking the sea. The food was very good and all the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Most of the staff speak good English, if your Spanish isn't very good!
We had booked to go to the New Years Eve gala dinner and dance; it seemed expensive when we booked, but it turned out to be worth all the money. A Gala dinner (for 400 people) consisting of seven courses, was served quickly and very efficiently, with good wines. Both the wines and the food were excellent and the hot food WAS hot. After the Midnight celebrations and the eating of the 12 grapes to signify a good New Year, there was a live band in our hall. A further two halls accommodated a further 400 guests, with disco music. More food was available, including a chocolate fountain, for those who were hungry! A superb night ; we will most likely be there again next New Year's Eve!

Room Tip: All the rooms have views over the sea, but the ones overlooking the pool might be a little noisire in the summer.

Went for a week in may 2011. Rooms tired, bathrooms in need of modernisation, staff overworked. Food repititious. Pool OK but some sunbeds broken. Surrounding buildings (also part of the hotel) had lumps of concrete falling off them. Very isolated but good regular free bus to town.

Stayed for two weeks on an all inclusive basis with SAGA.The Hotel is a little tatty in places and along our corridoor the wallpaper was coming off.Having said that the rooms were always kept clean. We made the mistake of going to early as the Spanish families were still there and it was very noisy.Second week a lot better.Good courtesy bus, good food, good waiting staff but very poor service from the bar as they only had one person on at peak times. Our room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable.

Room Tip: We had a superior room.

We've just returned from a weeks break - fabulous views but accommodation is shaby and unkept.. food is average but the restaurant staff were very stressed and don't understand english .. we had great weather but if you like the sun loungers you have to claim one early despite notices requesting that you would have belonging removed. I wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: Request a room away from 3rd floor southern side as night entertainment will end at 11.00p.m. but if you have travelled all day you won't have quiet until then.

Best family vacation and Hotel Salobrena is the place to stay at. The hotel room we stayed in was clean and spacious. We woke up to the most pleasant and beautiful view of the ocean. The staff is very courteous, professional and ready to assist you with any concerns. The hotel’s food is delicious and they have a variety of food to please different palates. I have travel to Europe several times and this is the best experience by far. I would recommend Hotel Salobrena to anyone traveling to the southern part of Spain.

Room Tip: If you have never woken up to a view of the ocean, then I recommend you get a room with the ocean view. Enjoy!!!
