“An excellent evening....”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We had a very good meal here last Wednesday - Sandra looked after us beautifully and the food was wonderful - our tortellini starter was exceptional and the lamb was cooked to perfection. The chocolate fondant dessert merits a special mention. Sandra also selected a very good vino tinto for us.

“Los Laureles Catered Our dinner for 54 guests!”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

Sandra and Mark of Los Laureles in Almuñecar, helped us create a fabulous 60th anniversary party by preparing and serving a fantastic sit down 3 course meal, with appetizers before hand at Palacete de Cazulas in Otivar.
They arranged for all tables, china and cutlery, linens, chairs, etc., plus excellent very professional staff. Sandra thought of everything, helped decide where to do what, and how. She was spot on with all details. Mark very unassumingly, as the very fine chef he is, guided our choice of food and produced a fantastic meal suitable to place and occasion.. We were anxious about this occasion with an eclectic group of family and friends and, celebrating an important event wanted everything to be perfect. Thanks to a perfect venue and Mark and Sandra, it was. Also, I want to add that we had music by Albert Nuijtan, well known in La Herradura.

“do I dear after all the possitive critics????”
Reviewed June 10, 2014

Lets first make a general remark. To find a good restaurant in Almunecar is not easy.
To plunge in the deep ... Los Laureles was in general a place to recommend, no spectacular sea views but nice garden and terrace.
My starter (ravioli with lobster) was so so, the mustart bedding couldn’t safe it. Too flat in taste.
My main course - wild sea bass - was very nice though, so was the flan as desert.
To cut it short, in my view in a nutshell, go there, generally good food, nice environment, nice but stretched service.
Advice to the cook: Shorten your menu to make the tigh staffing work. Will come again.
