After a day at the Spagetti western set in Almeria, we decided to stay once more in the cave homes in Guadix. As we turned off the road we saw what seemed to us in our western mode, a real old fashioned Mexican Cantina. If the man (waiter) hadn`t waved to us we would have driven by.Thank goodness we didn`t, after a drink at the bar, we were led down the passageway into one of three dining rooms that were actually caves cut in the rock. That was a surprise but nothing to the food, this young chef is a real artist. After a superb starter salad we had Avila steaks and local lamb. But then the surprise we were shown into the back room were they made their own cheese. What a surprise home made cheese, virgin olive oil, and black pepper, Set us up for Srawberries and cream. What with Coffee and brandy, it made a very memorable meal. If Clint Eastwood had turned up it would have been perfect
