We simply loved this hotel! It was new, comfortable, very clean, the lady at the reception was very nice and friendly... We even managed to find a parking spot at the hotel (beware in season though - it's a small plaza in front of the hotel and the church and there is room for exactly 4 cars).

Since we were traveling back the next day (we stayed only 1 night) - we took also breakfast. Didn't expect much - but it was wonderful. It was not buffet but we got a very big breakfast - bread, jamon, cheese, juice, butter and jam, fruits, coffee (they had espresso!) - nothing too special but absolutely enough and tasty for a quick breakfast before you hit the road.

the TV was super small for the room size - we never switched it on but decided to mention it in case there's a traveler wondering about it.

There was not much going on in the village - maybe because it was off season. We found only one working restaurant and that was at the very same plaza the hotel is located at.

it's a perfect place for a getaway weekend or a starting point for some hiking and exploring nature.

It took us a while to find the hotel from the bus stop, owing to a similarly named hotel. When we got there we had a slight panic as we had requested a double room, this being the second leg of our honeymoon and they apologetically had given that room to another couple. After exclaiming that that was no ok as it was our honeymoon and we had arrived before the other couple, we were happily re-instated in the double room.
Our room was pleasant and clean. The view was not great, being of the building across the passageway but it got plenty of light. Some room do face in the opposite direction and they must have lovely views over the mountains. The bed was not terribly comfortable - we were too tall but this seemed a general problem in the area. We had been too tall for the bus up too. Not that we are giants at 5'8"ish.
The hotel has pleasant gardens and a swimming pool, unheated. My husband tried it out and decided it is probably wonderful in the hight of summer. Not though in early November.
The receptionist was very helpful in telling us where we could eat and about the Chestnut Festival that was happening that evening.
Breakfasts were very tasty, with local meat, cheese, bread, cake, fruit, fruit juice and coffee. It was served around 9am. On our last morning we had to get the 7am bus back to Granada and they happily left breakfast out for us, carefully wrapped up with a flask for coffee and a flask for hot milk, with a note wishing us all the best for married life. They also gave us a bag of local sweets when we paid, which was a very sweet touch.
We stayed for four nights and being in the centre of the village found it to be a great location. Not that Capileira is very big.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the mountains and having a double bed is important, state firmly.

We stayed seven nights in October 2013 for hiking in the mountains. The hotel served our needs perfectly: It is centrally located next to the church, where most hiking tracks start. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Fabulous view from our window. Nice garden. Only criticism is that breakfast was served only at 9:00 am.

We spent four nights in this lovely hotel last week. It is in the centre of town beside the Church. The rooms are lovely with a great view. Breakfast was great and they also catered for an early start by leaving everything ready. The staff were lovely and Paco looked after all our needs. They have WIFI and a swimming pool and garden. If going to Capileira this is a good place to stay and good value too.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days during our recent trip to Capileira, the location is exceptional with fantastic views over the valley. The whole hotel is very tastefully decorated and modern and the staff are really welcoming and helpful, they could not do enough to ensure we had the right information about the location, weather etc. The pool and outside bar/restaurant area were great and clearly very popular amongst the guests.
The only downside was that the restaurant was closed during August (not advertised on booking.com) and that the breakfast was served a little bit late for many people wishing to head out to the mountains early.
Overal, fantastic and we will definitely return.

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a view of the valley do so, it is well worth it.

This is NOT a B&B but is a 100% proper hotel (the owners have asked Tripadvisor to correct their listing), with a reception, restaurant, swimming pool, etc. I suspect where the confusion has come from is that the owners operate four different properties (of different standards) in the village, of which this one is by far the best.

Although the building is old and in the very centre of the village on the church square, it has been completely refurbished to make the best of the old, whilst adding all those modern touches. Location could not be better, with everything within a few minutes walk. There is a free public car park two or three minutes walk away, but the staff just told us to park in the 'no parking' church square as "we have no problems with the police"!

One of the best features is the swimming pool, which is pretty uncommon for properties in such a location, and allows you to relax somewhere cool on a hot afternoon.

Caplieira itself is by far the nicest of the three "white villages". Pampaneira gets all the day trippers, whist Bubion straddles the road up to Caplieira. Caplieira being at the end of the road gets fewer day trippers and is nice and quieter place to stroll around, but still has plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to keep everyone happy.

Room Tip: Room 104, windows on two corners overlooking the church square.

Great central location, superb views over rooftops to valley, comfortable room, friendly reception, great value.
Helpful tourist information.
Only slight negative: comfort of pillows & mattress needs improvement
