The Regency Suites is situated in the midtown of Atlanta, not far friom Georgia Tech. The Marta is fvery close from the hotel. The rooms are big, but shabby. There are some cooking facilities in the rooms. The lobby is OK, and the staff is friendly. There is a free internet in the room, and I diidn't experience any problem with internet.
The breakfast is OK, maybe not very perfect, but at least keeps you alive.
In generakl the hotel is not bad, however I think that it's possible to find a better hotel at the same price range.

Nice hotel right down town Atlanta.
Close to all the sights.
Shops and restaurants just round the corner.
Marta subway was right next to the hotel taking you shopping or to the airport.

15 minutes walk to Georgia Tech campus.
But Tech-trolleys stopped right outside.

Just don't walk down the wrong alley in this part of town you never know what to expect,

I was there December 4-6 for the SEC Championship game. had a King non-smoking room. This is a small (maybe 60 rooms (?) right off the Midtown MARTA stop, so getting to and from there from ATL and the GA Dome was a breeze. Walked to the Varsity twice!! Nice room, kitchenette, clean, modern, traffic noise was a hassle. being across from a great liquor store made up for it! Lots of Eagles fans came in for the Falcons game on Sunday..

We recently stayed at Regency Suites in Atlanta, it was a good experience. Hotel was very clean, our room was well appointed, had plenty of supplies, and was spotlessly clean. Continental breakfast was good, plenty of coffee and we were pleased the hotel offered secured parking. We would stay there again and are recommending it to our friends.

The location is great, right in midtown and it's fairly quiet though centrally located. The hotel look pretty new too, but once you get there you will notice several pitfalls that add up in a hotels lackluster, I would encourage the management to look into details, from what it looks like the hotel does fine with it's location alone, which leads the management to also be lackluster. As several guests previously mentioned, the parking lot cost $15 per night which is ridiculous around 10% of the hotel stay. Yet the parking lot is so small, it looks like an accident waiting to happen. As for the hotel itself, there are very minimal items for breakfast, just some toast, danishes, orange juice, coffee and milk. Might have given it a better rating if there was at least hot breakfast w/ just a few more items to get you going in the morning. As there are a few boutiques and restaurants around the area but not many breakfast places. Then at 8am in the morning the housekeeping comes and knocks on your door waking you up and uses her card key and opens the door since you did not answer. This happened on both of my stays. The wifi is also barely accessible in the building, perhaps due to a lack of routers. Overall it's just all these small things that can really add up to being a much better hotel. I would say if this is closest to your destination it might be worth it, otherwise try the Renaissance or hotel indigo nearby for the same even lesser rate but a better value overall.

The 'high speed internet' barely worked. Room was big but a bit shabby. Only about 2 light bulbs worked. No kettle and the coffee machine didn't work. No hot water in the middle of the day. V poor value at $120 a night.
