Never have I seen such incompetence from a supposedly nice hotel. On the day of departure some people had to wait 2.5 hours to retrieve their car. They would not even allow people to retrieve their car on their own. Yes, it was a busy weekend but management should have been prepared. Also, constant computer glitches and lack of hot water meant I had to have my bill printed three separate times. I will never stay at this hotel and if possible another Omni property ever again.

We stayed here during a recent trip to the ACC Tournament (men's basketball). The hotel was very close to the Georgia Dome--about two blocks away (a very easy walking distance). The hotel contained its own bar (a bit pricey) and a McCormick & Schmick's restaurant, and it also connects to the CNN Center (which has a food court). The hotel has 24-hour room service, though we did not use it; the food service in the bar stopped at midnight (despite the fact that a kitchen must have been open for room service). The room felt newly-decorated and very clean, and we had a great view of the Olympic Park. The housekeeping service each day was very good.

My only gripe is the $30/night valet parking. That added up very quickly, though since we were so close to the Georgia Dome we never had to take our car out except for at the end of the weekend. The elevators also seemed slow, but there were frequently many people trying to go up or down at the same time (since there were many people staying at the hotel who were also attending the Tournament).

Overall, we really liked this hotel and the proximity to the Georgia Dome and nearby restaurants. I would definitely stay here again

This is a very nice, but expensive hotel that is very popular die to the fact that it is connected to the World Congress Center. We stayed there for the Cheersport National Cheerleading competition - a very busy time for this hotel. Our room cost $265/night, and we had reservations for a nonsmoking deluxe room with 2 queen beds for 2 adults and 2 children. When we checked in, they first lied to us by stating that our reservation was for a room with a king bed. When we pulled out our print-out of our reservation, they informed us that they had already "committed" all of the nonsmoking doubles, and we had a choice of a King nonsmoking with no rollaways (they had already been "committed" as well) or a smoking room with 2 double beds. We ended up in a very smelly room - even our non-allergic roommates got sick. They kept on telling us that they had a special ozone cleaner that would remove the smell from the room, & for 2 days, they told us they were on their way to our room, but they never showed up.

My advice: if you want close proximity to the congress center, try Embassy Suites, where we have stayed before. They are every bit as close, they are a non-smoking hotel, they are all-suites so you don't have to worry about being put in a too-small room, and a full breakfast is included in the price, which is less than the Omni.

I stayed in this hotel because of the really good rate I received. I wouldn't have paid the regular rate they asked for ($235).

If you are planning to travel driving your car, they do not offer park-it-yourself parking. They only have valet parking and it costs $30 per night extra. Also, if you plan to use internet (be it wi-fi or broadband) be ready to pay $10 more a day.

Apart from the extra fees, everything was good. I stayed at the North Tower of the hotel. In order to use the elevator you need your room key. The room was nice and clean (except for the windows) and had a nice view of Centennial Park. The sheets did have some small rips and the carpet had some small stains, but nothing awful just minimal. The whole staff did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Overall it was an ok stay and it was close to many amenities(museum, opera, atlantic station, good restaurants, etc).

Stayed one night, got a great AAA rate. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are fine. We had the breakfast buffet which was okay. Service across the board was better than average. Centennial Park is not populated after dark, so don't plan on walking around a lot unless it's daylight, but there are lots attractions nearby. I thought $6.95 for public internet in the business center was a little steep. Overall would stay again.

Stayed at Omni for two nights late January 2009.Comfortable spacious room had a great view. Clean, modern bathroom. Bed was a little too soft for my preference, bedding was OK. Fitness room was large and adequately equip. Sauna was a plus. It is a large hotel, prepare to walk. Conveniently located next to CNN and walking distance to Aquarium. Concierge had a limited knowledge regarding places for dining.
