Stayed at the Omni after a concert at Lakewood. Very nice hotel. Nothing crazy special about it but not a thing wrong with the place. Top floor had great views of the skyline in downtown Atlanta. Comfy rooms. Overall very happy with the hotel.

We returned from a 2 night stay at the Omni CNN last week. I have to say, we did get a really great rate from a discount site, so my expectations were high, but i wasnt looking to be wowed

. I consider myself to be a thrifty person. I really enjoy the finer things in life, but paying too much money for things makes me crazy. I dislike hotels that nickel and dime their guests to death, as seems to be the case with many of the higher end hotels. I guess some people that are staying at the nicer places dont care about extra fees as much, but it seems like lately i have been staying at the less 'starred' hotels because i feel like many of them are really stepping up their decor game, and most of them offer internet, breakfast, clean rooms at a decent price. ALL that being said, we really enjoyed our stay at the Omni!

I read a few reviews commenting on the valet parking prices and i knew that would make me itch having to pay what they are charging, so i googled parking garages, and i found one directly diagonal to the hotels front entrance. It took us maybe one minute to get to our car from the front. Granted, it might be more of a hassle if there was an event going on at one of the arenas next door, but we stayed two nights and only had to use the car once (the garage is operated by a pay machine you can use your credit card to refill.

Check in was smooth and fast, we stayed in the north tower on the 27th floor. Our room was on the small side, but very nicely appointed, the bed was soft and we loved the robes provided.

I would like to suggest everyone who isnt a member of their omni rewards club to sign up before your stay, and give the number at check in. We recieved free internet service (usually 9.95 per day) a bottle of water at check in, they offer shoe shine service, and will iron two items for you at no charge. My favorite , tho was the morning coffee service for two. If youre like me, i dont like to eat a big meal first thing in the morning, but i like a coffee and toast or something. You are given door hangers which you fill out and put outside before bed, you can order whatever you want for morning beverage such as coffee service, juice, soda or tea. plus you can add for a charge a muffin or croissant, bagel etc. we ordered coffee service and a croissant and bagel. It arrived exactly when we specified, and the coffee was served in a caraffe with side of cream and sugar. The croissant came wrapped in a napkin and served with a selection of jams. The breakfast total came to maybe 6 dollars including gratuity, and was perfect for us.

We didnt have anything to do until the second evening, so we mostly hung out in the room, watched tv and walked across to the very pretty olympic park right across the street. We heard some live music in the middle of the afternoon, watched a water fountain show, and enjoyed the sunshine. The other side of the park is the georgia aquarium and world of coke. We didnt visit, but really very convenient.

We went downstairs for dinner the first night after check in, and found an entire food court downstairs, similar to a nice mall-had every kind of fast food you could imagine. We ended up at a wing place near the philips arena. You could really have a very nice family trip very conveniently staying there. we cant wait to go back!

The stay at the Omni was spectacular! The hotel staff was superb and the rooms were very nice. Housekeeping was on top of the cleanliness of our rooms. The location, food, nearby shopping, and overall area was great! We will definitely recommend and stay again.

Hotel itself was great, perfect location downtown close to everything in the area. CNN if you like that sort of thing was interesting. Bell hops were extremely slow so get the cart yourself save time and money. Valet was nice and reasonable for the area. Weird Thing: Most every restaurant around during the week closes at 9:00pm. It's like they roll the sidewalks up at night like a small town.

Business center charges per 15 minutes and is not free to guests. Valet parking is overpriced, and rooms are in need of a remodel. Rooms did not smell fresh and clean but stuffy. the stuffiness of the room made us keep the balcony door open mist of the time. the Disney cable channel also constantly lost is signal on the digital cable the entire stay.

We recently stayed at the OMNI hotel at CNN Center as a prize from a draw at a conference. When we first checked in, we received a free upgrade to our room, without even asking, from the friendly customer service representative. Our room was amazing! It had a unique view of the CNN Center off the balcony that faced the inside of the building. The room was clean and bright and the bed seemed to have every kind of pillow possible. The one downfall was being charged for parking when we shouldn't have, but staff were very quick and friendly in fixing this on checkout. We also found that beyond the main sights (the aquarium, Olympic park, Coca-Cola World, Phillips Arena, CNN Centre, children's museum), there weren't a lot of things in close proximity to the hotel (which was fine for us except when we went wandering a little bit and didn't find much to explore). Overall, the staff made this an enjoyable and pleasurable stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel as a treat for a nicer stay in Atlanta.
