CNN Omni Hotel is located in two towers (north and south). The rooms in the north tower have been recently renovated. The rooms are roomy, comfortable, and very clean. The staff is southern friendly and most helpful (particularly with restaurants). The location of the hotel is within walking distance of many of the downtwon attractions.

When I made the reservation, I was asked if it was a special occasion. It was our 27th Wedding Anniversary and I told them. We were also attending the next day our son's girlfriend's college graduation at The Georgia Dome. There was a hotel special which included valet parking and I asked for that package. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a suite in the North Tower on the 19th Floor and told Happy Anniversary. The valet parking had been a breeze! The suite was wonderful with a separate livingroom and 2nd tv, plus a bar area with sink and a full size refrigerator in addition to the mini-bar refrigerator. There was turndown service that night. Fresh fruit and lemon or orange ice water in the lobbies each day. As an Omni Gold member, we received free coffee delivered to our room in the morning. The hotel restaurant was being renovated, but we had already planned to have our anniversary dinner elsewhere. There were numerous restaurants around to choose from and we walked through Centennial Park going and coming. We also had a view of the Park from our suite where we could watch the children playing in the dancing water fountains! We did a tour of the CNN Studio at 10:00 a.m. which is adjacent to the hotel Saturday morning. There is one of the largest food courts around located there. A handy place if you have children. Since we had a 2:00 p.m. graduation to attend, the front desk told us they would extend our checkout to 1:00 p.m. and our luggage would be held by the bellman. We could return to the valet parking area and pick our car up and luggage with no additional charge! The North Tower was sparkling clean and we were advised it had recently been renovated!! My husband told me it was the most wonderful hotel experience he had ever had!!

Room Tip: The North Tower is not connected to CNN Center, but there was new concrete footers being poured for a new construction next door. You might want to ask if there is construction ongoing now!

The staff was very friendly, our room was cleaned every day. We stayed in the North Tower on the 20th Floor. Our room looked very good. We came in our room and every night there was sort of a turn down service; they would set the lights down low, leave the tv on a relaxing music channel, and sometimes leave a cookie and some ice cold milk. Very NICE!!! Yet, I would still rate the Marriotts of this city higher. We couldn't use the spa here, because it was being renovated. That will be a good thing for others I suppose.

Even though there are a lot of children activities in the area, the hotel setup itself is much more meant for adults. The rooms have lots of privacy and there is a lot of security around the area. The main reason to stay here is if you want to check out the CNN Center(DUH).

Room Tip: Always choose a high floor in the North Tower. Always check in at the North Tower. Always look at your bill before you leave. Do not use a debit card, use a credit card.

Hotel was very clean, comfortable and staff was friendly.
Next door to convention center and close to some good restaurants. A bit difficult to avoid the beggers, but good location nonetheless. Didn't eat in the hotel, ate in the small coffee shop attached and it was good.

I travel all over the world for my job and this was the worst hotel stay I have ever had. The room was clean but the noise from the mini bar kept me awake all the first night and on the second night I just had to pull out the plug. My colleague staying there also had the same problem in his room. The heating/cooling system also kept us awake in our respective rooms too and the hotel is not well soundproofed. In addition on my room was not made up the during my two day stay and when I complained the receptionist just said that she would advise housekeeping but there was no apology! Also there are two towers at this hotel with two reception areas for people to drop and pick you up so that was confusing too for our hosts and lost us precious time!
