Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center
Ranked #52 of 173 Hotels in Atlanta

Stayed three nights in the south tower when in town for a convention. It's nice to be close to the CNN building, and walking to the convention center requires just a little bit of walking outside. To get to downtown and most restaurants requires walking a few blocks or a $15 cab fare, though, as this hotel is a little bit removed from the main part of downtown and most restaurants.

A friend and I had both reserved king rooms, but we asked for rooms near each other so we agreed to take rooms with 2 doubles to accomplish this. Very comfortable, clean, and the balcony overlooking the atrium was a nice touch.

Only downside was the morning beverage service - three mornings out of three they forgot something, and the last morning, a Saturday, my juice was warm and toasted bagel cold when it was delivered to me.

Excellent hotel. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again. The view from the room was wonderful...especially at night. The location was perfect and a car was not needed in the location. There was a food court in the CNN building and the convention center was within very easy walking distance. Although the price was more than I would normally pay, the convenience and comfort were well worth it.

Room Tip: I had a room with a beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline. Even though the interior rooms had balco...

The Omni CNN is centrally located to downtown and all of its amenities. The GA Dome, CNN, Phillips Arena and many other attractions. The Omni's service for convention services is top-notch. We have held several annual events with 400-500 attendees and they have loved it here. The rooms in the tower seem to be a little nicer with better views. The Omni is a bit pricey so beware.

Spent three days at the Omni at CNN Center for a conference next door. Very nice room, and the attached CNN Center has a large food court for breakfast and lunches. Several nice restaurants inside, and lots more within walking distance. I recommend Ted's Montana Grill for the bison filet mignon, about a block away.
Close to MARTA station, Phillips Arena, Georgia Dome, and Georgia Aquarium.

Room Tip: South Tower is attached to CNN Center, but North Tower is closer to World Conference Center. They a...

My stay at this hotel was first rate, everything was fantastic, staff are attentive and engaged.

The room is great, bed is comfy and there is even a bathtub. Free membership in the Select program gets you lots of freebies like free wireless, free coffee delivered to your door, free pressing and shoeshine.

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and I've been to hundreds around the world.

Room Tip: Corner room has a wonderful view.

We stayed here for three nights in the South Tower. Due to the location of our conference, we should have stayed in the North Tower. We were permitted to check in early. We took the light rail system from the airport to the hotel (which is VERY close to the station). For two of us with the mandatory breeze card purchase we travelled from the airport to the hotel and back for only $12. Those two trips in a Taxi would be $60+tip.

We loved the perks when you join the free select guest program. Two free morning beverages were delivered on time without issue. We also ordered bagels each day. The total for two drinks and two bagels with cream cheese was only $6.48. A fantastic value. You also get free internet access which worked well.

The only issues that we had, were as others stated was how dated it seemed. Old tube style televisions and difficult to access electrical outlets in the room. Our room was also directly across from the housekeeping room which made it noisy early in the morning.

The swimming pool is pretty sad. It is in the north tower, so we had to use the elevator four times to get from the room to the pool and back. The pool almost seemed like an after thought. It is very very small and very little atmosphere. It was however clean and tidy with towels provided. We did not see any staff walk through the pool area a single time to 'check' on things.

The staff at the hotel were fantasic. Very courteous and we enjoyed the water and apples from the lobby.

We will return to this hotel with hopes that they spend some money on upgrades. Considering that this is attached to the internationally known CNN centre, one would think it's almost flagship status would warrant an investment.

Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Get a high floor away from housekeeping closet. The benefit of a south tower room is the easy access...

We stayed at the Omni CNN Center for an SEC football weekend, specifically the Chik-fil-A Kick-Off. We had a double room with a balcony overlooking a parking lot in the old tower of the CNN center.

The room was dated and not well appointed. There were stains on the sheets and the bathroom smelled moldy, not to mention poorly laid out. The service was ok but not memorable. The only amenity we used at the facility was the lobby bar. All-in-all the property is very dated. In fact, one might say that the 1980s has lost its CNN convention center and would like it back.

The location to the Georgia Dome is a nice (and maybe the only) bonus to this place. It is just your typical, over sized, outdated 30-year old facility that needs a massive makeover. There is no value to staying at this place.
