I stayed at the Omni during a conference at the GWCC and selected it as it was the closest, and assumed since it was the most expensive of my options that it would be the nicest. That was most certainly not the case.

We were in the south tower in a room facing centennial park and our amazing view was really the only thing I can recommend on the room. The room was in need of a referbushment in the worst way. There was no dresser and no mirror in the bedroom area, the only casework was an old beat up armoire containing and old tube style tv. It was just really sparse for $239 a night.

Service was fantastic though from the front desk and housekeeping to bell services and concierge everyone bent over backwards to help us.

So it wasn't horrible but I certainly won't stay here again

We had a room in the newer tower and I recommend you request the 20th and above floor for both the view and quietness. There was live music in the Olympic park and thousands of people into the late hour for the two nights, but we were far above the activity for a quiet sleep. Very comfortable king bed and as a preferred guest (we visit twice each year) fresh brewed coffee is left at the door per our time schedule. I've found the staff to be cheerful and helpful, from the valet to the front desk. If you're driving to this location, prepare yourself with google map to get a feel for navigation in the area. You can park a little cheaper off site, but the valet service is convenient, trustworthy, and convenient.

Room Tip: Request new tower, above the 20th floor, and away from elevetors.

Overall, it was a nice hotel. It was somewhat cold in the room and when I tried to turn the air 'warmer', only cold air blew out. Also, I had used the coffee and it was not replaced the next morning. When I called to get more coffee, I not only waited 2 hours, but had to call again in order to make sure they did not forget. I wanted to go to sleep but wanted to make sure i had coffee in the morning. Also, the employees were not very helpful. I wanted to find a store nearby that sold wine. Nobody, from the gift shop to the front desk, knew where to send me! I guess for the price of the room, I did expect a little better service

We had a short stay at this hotel. Had it not been a business trip, we would've stayed elsewhere. The hotel is old and outdated. It's cheap and a convenient walk to the congress center, and of course the aquarium.

This was my 3rd stay at this hotel and I had high hopes. Overall it's a lovely hotel in my personal favorite location in Atlanta (Centennial Olympic Park, close to downtown), but the rooms could use some updating and the staff isn't the friendliest. However, there is definitely a lot to do in and around the property, and it serves its purpose as a place to stay if you're traveling to Atlanta! If you can get a good deal, I would recommend staying here, but don't overpay! It's not one of Omni's finest.

I recently stayed at the Omni on my trip to the Aerosmith concert at Philips Arena. The main reason I chose this hotel is it's proximity to the arena; it's connected to the hotel, through the CNN Center. Finding where to turn into the hotel was a bit of a challenge, as there are no signs out front directing you where to go. Once we pulled in the valet ($30 per night) immediately took our car and we, again, had to figure out where to go from there on our own. Once in the lobby, we had a long wait, as we arrived around 3:00 which is check in time. The girl was nice, but she didn't even tell us where our room was located, just to take the elevators. We found the elevators and luckily weren't the only ones who didn't know how to use it (insert your key once inside in order to press a floor). I used common sense to decide that my room starting with 11 meant to choose floor N11. The room was nice and spacious for 2 people. We had a view overlooking a corner of the Centennial Park which was nice. One thing I would definitely recommend doing before your trip is joining the Select Guests program on the Omni website. This is a free program and it gives you access to free wi-fi, two complementary morning beverages of your choice, and a bottle of water on your first night (which costs $6 in room). I would stay at this hotel again, just because of it's prime location. It also saves you from having to pay for parking at your hotel and then again at your event, because venues are within walking distance. The CNN Center was nice and the food court had a pretty wide variety of foods to choose from. You can enter directly into the Philips Arena from the CNN Center, which comes in handy in the hot weather, and you can also walk back through to get to your hotel room after the show. My only complaint would be that the walls seem relatively thin, as I could hear the people talking in the room next door or above when in the bathroom or standing near the closet. Another thing was around 9:30 AM on Saturday, a random announcement came over a speaker in our room and told us that the emergency had been taken care of and we could return to our normal routine.....the thing is, we never heard any announcement about this so-called emergency to begin with, which could be a little worrisome if you think about it.

Room Tip: Rooms in the North Tower are farther away from the CNN Center, but still in prime location. Our roo...

Decided to get away from the house for a couple of nights. Very easy to get to hotel by MARTA (once you work out the crazy set-up at 5-points to get from N/S to W/E lines). Hotel was offering rooms at a discounted rate. Staff were very friendly, security was good, and room was very clean & overlooked Centennial Park without being charging a higher rate. We ate dinner at Prime Meridian. It was not cheap but the food was good (we like steaks well done & PM's were not dry/chared). We had their "Prime Meridian Collection" and even though it seems a lot of food on the menue the portion sides are quite small so we did not feel we had overeaten.
We did not have breakfast there as we thought the price was steep. Hotel is attached to CNN so we could walk directly to the foodcourt and get Starbucks coffee/pastry or coffee + Arbys/Chick-fil-a etc. If you can get a discounted rate the hotel makes a great base for visiting the aquarium etc. If it was at th efull rate then I think there are other hotels on/near Centenial Park that are a better choice to save $ for visiting the sights unless you have $ to throw away on a place to sleep.

Room Tip: Stayed in the South Tower which is better for access to CNN and hotel restaurant/bar. Ask for room o...
